> 3 dayThis fit my old ryobi orbital sander. It was about $3 cheaper and I feel like it may be made better. Only time will tell

> 3 dayMy old blue ryobi RS290’s still kickin so when it came time for back pad w/ Velcro (hook & loop) surface, I was concerned that the current RS290 aka RS290G (bright green-yellow) pads may not fit right. Ordered this one & it next day arrived. Took under a minute to manually screw on. (Sans drill so as to prevent over tightening; which could possibly result in forcing the screw heads through the hard plastic backing. Same protocol I used w/ OEM pads in the past.) Briefly stuck a an old sanding disc to the hook & loop surface just to see how well it stuck. Took a tug to detach it so now I’m excited to use it. Course it started pouring out so I’ll update with how it compares to OEM in action. I’m in constant project mode so I’ll be putting through a couple of big jobs the second it stops raining. When you’re wasting lots of sandpaper bc of fly offs, do yourself a favor & change the Velcro. This is an all in one pad & hook & loop assembly. Good idea to take a soft brush & get in there & remove dust buildup while you’re at it. Gonna do same thing with my finish sander next to get more use out of each pc of sandpaper. Happy sanding!

> 3 dayThis hook and loop pad fit my sander great. The hardest part was getting the screws replace so that the sander worked properly. After I learned how to adjust the level of the screws, everything was great. The Hook and Loop held onto the sanding pads great after a few tries. It had to be broken in by using 100 grit or higher. The 60 and 80 grit sanding pads were too rough to start. Later, the hook and look pad took ahold of the rougher grits. Patience was my moto.

> 3 dayThis unit fell apart after a few uses. As you can see the screw holes enlarged and the hook pad flew off my Ryobi sander. I installed it and torques down the screws. It should not have disintegrated as it did.

> 3 dayI unearthed an old orbital sander that had a deteriorated backing pad. This replacement fit perfectly, and the sander functions as good as new.
