This switch came neatly packaged with the switch itself, a standard D-power cord, a 2-Year Warranty card with a QR code to register it, and a small general instruction fold-out. Initial impressions were reasonably good considering the price. The construction feels solid, cables click into the ports firmly without being overly snug and the ability to power it with just a standard power cord rather than a DC Adapter is very nice for a desktop switch. With the switch in default mode (as set by the slide switch on the front) the four ports provide 48v POE+ at 1Gbps and happily powered and connected a Ubiquiti UniFi AP Pro Access Point I had along with a notebook on one of the other ports. The switch also includes a 1Gbps RJ45 Uplink port along with an SFP port which can take up to a 1Gbps Fiber Module. The instruction sheet is very basic and general to a number of the manufacturers switches, but as this is a basic unmanaged switch its operation is pretty straightforward. All in all this is a very handy little POE desktop switch and offers a good value for the price.

Just put this in to run my IP cameras and it works great! No setup needed. Fit in my rack and powered up the cameras with no problem. Note that the 2 uplink ports are SFP so if you plan to use vlan mode you will have to use a transceiver of some kind to link to your network. Im currently using one of the regular ports to uplink but ordered an SFP link cable since my main switch also has SFP ports. If the 2 uplinks were combo SFP / GB Ethernet ports it would have been 5 stars easy. As it is, it works perfect for me... but if you dont know what SFP ports are look that up before deciding to use this switch.

Ive used a number of POE switches over the past couple of years. I bought this as a backup for an older switch. This one is especially well suited for surveillance type networks. With 30W per port (total for switch is 300W), its more than capable of powering the cameras that are installed. It has an internal power supply so theres no power brick just a standard power cord. When I received it, I unboxed the switch to look it over. Its a well made switch. The case is metal and can be used as a desktop system or it can be rack/wall mounted (mounting brackets included in the package). Noise is not an issue as it is fanless. The switch has some nice basic features. 1) It can run in 3 different modes. A standard mode where each device can communicate with every device, a vlan mode where each port can only communicate with the uplink ports and an extended mode in which instead of 100m limits on the length of the cable its extended to 250m but the transmission rate is slowed down to accommodate the extended distance. 2) It has a watchdog function. If a device goes offline, the switch will attempt to restart it. 3) Built in surge protection. 4) 2 1000M uplink ports. What you have to keep in mind is that this is a 10/100MB switch which is fine for cameras, printers and any other devices that have low data bandwidths but would not be suitable for networks with computers.

I wanted some security cameras around a large parking lot but was unsure about which equipment to get. I paid a network technician to advise and install, and he recommended this switch.... When the installation was complete the cameras worked perfectly through the switch with excellent video and stability.

This POE switch is a great upgrade to my home network. I still might use or find a place for my old switch, but this poe version will go well with a couple of cameras for the exterior. It really simplifies the process of installing said camera by running just a single wire, and not having (another device) dependent on wifi. The switch is plug and play, easy to setup. It is rated at gigabit, which is the max in my area, but might be a consideration for those qho have or will have faster internet available in their area; especially if this is purchased in an effort to futureproof your setup. Definitely recommended!

Works well. Connected 16 POE Cameras. Connected multiple PTZ cameras as well. No issues

This switch worked very well for me. The PoE powered my cameras as expected. I tested the PoE on all of the ports and it worked fine, but I dont have enough cameras to test all ports at the same time. Does the job that I needed it to do!

As our family has been upgrading security system for our homes and family vacation sites, weve been getting new PoE switches throughout the year in 2022. I dont really know much only what my father, grandpa, and brothers tell me after testing them out. Anywho, weve had PoE Texas, Stemmo?, and a couple of other brands (whichever became available to me through the program). So far, none failed on us after more than several months of use. This is the newest addition, and this one is for my sisters home as she try to put more security cameras up all around the house (she liked how our grandpa set up security system around our cabins at the vacation site and tries to mimic it I guess haha). I brought this over several days ago, and my brother in law set it up (if you can even call it that), because its plug and play device without the need of a complex setup. And (even) With 300W (mine are 370W), this switch successfully powdered 8 IP cameras with IEEE802 that were installed. All are up & running now. The material didnt feel cheap, and seems like decent quality. I guess the final verdict depends on its durability. I will definitely report back if this one fails unexpectedly :) I would say this one should be one of three final options you should consider if you are looking at 16 port PoE Switch.

So to get this out of the way first, I did not have an immediate need for PoE, but was looking to expand my switch capacity in my basement in preparation for eventually getting my cameras and knowing they will be wired down to the basement. The unit came packaged well, looks good, and appears to be of solid construction. One downside to me is I would have liked to have wall-mounts on the bottom of the unit so that I could easily hang it from the wall. To me this is the only reason I wont be giving this a 5 star rating at this point. It seems like a bit of an oversight to me. To be perfectly clear, the listing didnt say that it could be mounted, but I guess I had an expectation for virtually every device like this to have mount points on the bottom. I replaced my 5 port switch that was being fed by my fiber router, which also connects to two ethernet feeds to my mesh network. I havent noticed any sort of decrease in performance, no weirdness like dropped packets or anything. But then again, a switch is pretty much a switch, so I wouldnt have expected to have anything work any worse or better in terms of ethernet switching. Once we get the cameras ordered and installed and use this for PoE I will update the review.
