> 3 dayThis has its pros and cons. The pros are that I do love that it fits perfectly in my window. I love that it has 3 settings, cool, exhaust and circulation. I love that it has a remote control. Thats where the pros end. The cons are that the fan is not that powerful, even on the highest setting. The highest setting is a just a mild breeze compared to box fans or other fans. You also dont feel the coolness unless youre sitting in front of it. Also, the build-in extensions are made of plastic and keep collapsing on occasion. There were days where it collapsed and fell out of the window knocking things over below. The plastic piece ended up tearing at one point as a result of that. The screws holding the plastic together dont work. This all happened within a month. I mainly also got this for the exhaust function which pulls air out of the room and spits it outside. I have two horrible cigarette smoking neighbors downstairs that started smoking directly below me and their smoke drifts into my apartment every hour. It was mentioned that an exhaust fan could work and this likely could work IF the fan was more powerful. If a little bit of smoke is getting through this fan, then that means the smoke is more powerful than the fan. However, I will say that having this is much better for the smoke than not, since it reduces the smoke smell significantly. The fan does have a hum that I can hear in the other room, but that doesnt bother me. Id be fine with that if it actually worked in a stronger way. This would be a 5 star fan if they worked on the mechanics of it and made the highest setting stronger and created extensions that were stronger than plastic. Because its not, this isnt worth more than $15. Its cheaply and poorly made. I reached out to the company for assistance with it and they were useless. There way of correcting this issue was by saying, “No one else has had this problem”. Good for them, but I’m not everybody else. They did nothing to resolve the issue. There are more than enough fans out there from better companies. Avoid this one.

Greater than one weekI don’t use the remote control, but it would be great in another application, just not for my use. Fan is strong and is exactly what I was looking for.

> 3 dayLiving in a high rise on 10th floor, there is not much you can do when the HVAC is out of service. I have always tried the make the best of circumstances, so this fan has the functionality to cool this apt. On COOL it brings in cooler air and pushes hot air at ceiling out. In low usage Circulate, it will exchange air. This is wonderful to extract cooking smoke preventing smoke alarm activation. It is not a high-speed air mover; it has good movement to feel cooler. VERY HAPPY I HAVE IT!

> 3 dayI have a Holmes brand that is a dual fan 8 blades, very similar but no remote. The Holmes is definitely a better build, the Shinic plastic seems a little more flimsy, but for about $25 less in price it works well. I would recommend this fan. The Shinic seems to move air well, I like the option for exhaust as.

> 3 dayI ordered this unit specifically because the Amazon page -- both in text and in pictures -- stated the fans side panels expand to make the overall length of the unit 37 inches, and could be set to inflow or exhaust. It only expands to 34 making it useless to me, and the exhaust mode is pitifully weak, again making it useless for my purposes. And seemed rather flimsily made to boot. Returned it immediately.

> 3 dayThis fan works well but its performance could be more. It does not have as much force as some others we have of the same design. The remote is touchy, it needs to be pointed at exactly the right place to operate the fan. It is fairly quiet but we have another that is quieter. Probably not for a bedroom.
