> 3 dayI have a Holmes brand that is a dual fan 8 blades, very similar but no remote. The Holmes is definitely a better build, the Shinic plastic seems a little more flimsy, but for about $25 less in price it works well. I would recommend this fan. The Shinic seems to move air well, I like the option for exhaust as.

Greater than one weekWindow units are usually not an option. But the fans are good. bring cool air in downstairs and expel hot air upstairs. work great, really affordable and are quiet.

> 3 dayIt has a really annoying 120hz hum. I wouldn’t use it wherever people are located which is kind of the point of a fan. The noise is louder than the sound created by the fans themselves. Otherwise the remote is nice and the ability to change direction and intensity. But the noise is a dealbreaker

> 3 daySo I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the install couldn’t be easier-nothing extra needed and they throw more cool air than expected. Able to sleep at night again!

> 3 dayI just received this fan and plugged it in. Controls are responsive and its very quick to change airflow directions. Havent tried the remote yet (Doesnt come with batteries). Note: My unit does emit a noticeable hum. If youre planning on using this in a quiet room, like a bedroom, it will be hard to miss it. The frequency of the hum is in like the 300hz to 400hz range. If you know about frequencies ranges, thats an area that our ears notice.

> 3 dayworks great. A little loud on high setting but it doesnt bother me. remote kinda sucks. you have to be real close and straight center to change the settings. other than that Im happy.
