I read Amazon reviews by customers on many window fan brands, many good and many bad..so I decided to take a chance and get this one. Within minutes of running it I smelled a smoke type odor that seemed to come from the control unit. Now I am aware many things new can have a factory type smell at first but I didnt trust it. I even googled the brand name (yes, after purchase) and only came up with it being an Amazon product, a little odd I couldnt find out more on the brand! I looked at the box and ofcourse its made in China (like most everything!) So I returned it immediately and began a new search. I ended up purchasing the Bonaire (usually a popular brand) even though that fan also got mixed reviews. I am totally delighted with this Bonaire! I live in a townhouse and although the weather might be nice outside a fan seemed like a good idea with intake and exhaust to pull in fresh air. And I even purchased another one the next day for the upstairs.

The unit works fine, but does have a loud hum. I would have expected a more silent operation.

I bought this fan for the kitchen in the apartment where my mom lives. It has three speeds to control. It can exchange air and make the air circulate. Works great so far. My mother is very happy with it.

Unit gives of an unpleasant electrical smell when pulling air into the house. Smell not noticeable when you set it to exhaust mode and push air out of the house. Structure seems sturdy, not sure how long this fan will last.

Living in a high rise on 10th floor, there is not much you can do when the HVAC is out of service. I have always tried the make the best of circumstances, so this fan has the functionality to cool this apt. On COOL it brings in cooler air and pushes hot air at ceiling out. In low usage Circulate, it will exchange air. This is wonderful to extract cooking smoke preventing smoke alarm activation. It is not a high-speed air mover; it has good movement to feel cooler. VERY HAPPY I HAVE IT!

Lots of options with the different settings. And the side panels make fitting into a window simple.

Bought to help vent my craft room while using my xtool laser cutter, works great.

Its simple by design and fells a little bit flimsy. The fan is doing its job well, air volume and speed very good even on lowest speed. The remote is very nice touch, you dont need to go to the fan to chainge speed or turn off. The clips wont hold for years, but they doing its job. Dont know yet if it spray proof. Its quite noisy even on the low speed. Overall great value.

So I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the install couldn’t be easier-nothing extra needed and they throw more cool air than expected. Able to sleep at night again!

The humming noise it makes is pretty obnoxious… I just put it in a few min ago and am contemplating returning and spending $20 for a better fan that I know is quieter.
