I was looking for a high quality silicone mat to protect our quartzite kitchen counters from the challenges of our Thermador professional gas range in our new house. Sadly I learned from experience that our quartzite counters, although harder than granite, were also porous, and I was getting small oil stains from food spatter, so I needed some protection from that. I also learned that the range puts out TONs of heat, so I needed something that would withstand that when close to the burners. Finally, I wanted a surface on which I could easily put heavy, hot pots and pans without risking damage to the counters. I tried several other products, and, while nice for lighter use, they just werent up to the task from a durability perspective. I was delighted when this product ticked all the boxes, as the Brits say, but most importantly, and as an added bonus, it looks really nice. I thought I would have to hide it when not in use, but not so. It fits in perfectly with our modern, minimalist design. I rarely write a review, but this is a home run on all fronts and worth the comment. Ive ordered another one for the other side of the range!

I love the heavy duty bar mat so much that I’m going to order a second one! I’m using mine under my air frier. I have been afraid to use it because it gets hot and I didn’t want to ruin my new counters. The second one will be for the cover when I have to take it off to turn over the food during the frying process. Only negative - I wish it were as wide as it is long!

For the first time ever I can make coffee in my Cuisinart Thermal coffee maker and not worry about it overflowing. It fits on this mat with room for my small coffee grinder and a few other little items. No more stress; that makes the coffee even better! The mat is very high quality, deep, holds things on it totally stably - exactly as described and really worth the price.

I have several expensive bar mats. Ordered this one because of the gray color which is unique. Quality is amazing. I already have high quality bar mats so I didn’t appreciate how much higher quality these were until I received. Wish I had bought only from this company.

I am so glad I spent the extra money for this top quality bar mat. Incredible product. Jiggers can tip a bit if rim goes between crevices. We have a good quality, bell jigger and it doesnt tip. Definitely recommend going with the 12 x 18, as we did.

My studio apartment has VERY little kitchen counter space. Air-drying my dishes on top of the refrigerator has been the SOLUTION...!!!

This is the nicest spill mat Ive ever seen, it is heavy, thick and extremely well made, it holds a full rocks glass of spilled liquid. It does seem like it would last a lifetime if taken care of.

Weve been using this mat for awhile now, and in the world of bar mats, its the best. It is made quite thick, and has a nice weight to it. Your drinking glasses and bar tools definitely will not slip or slide -- the unique staggered peg pattern makes the mat surface very grippy. It also wont move around on a countertop -- the backside of it hugs the surface that its on. Its matte finish is more refined-looking than the shiny, cheap barmats that are common. Its low-maintenance and easy to clean -- a nice addition to a bar or kitchen. Highly recommended!
