A Treasury of Curious George: 6 Stories in 1!

This book is absolutely beautiful. Bought this for my 3yr old grandson with a plush Curious George.

Perfect for my Granddaughter!

Seeing our 2 year old grandson open this gift at Christmas was great...Curious George is a favorite! He sat on the floor and began to ‘read’ right away!

For those who may not know it, Curious George has been around for 60 years, delighting his audience of children and adults, those of us who grew up reading about him and his adventures. You will crack up as you read about Georges adventures and how the man in the yellow hat is always there to help him. You will go bananas as you read through this collection of H. A. Rey stories that take you on delightful adventures, and maybe think of your own adventures. The author, H. A. Rey, not only served in the military, but he and his wife hid out in Paris, and escaped with his collection of Curious George stories. Little did he know that these stories would be around for several generations to read and enjoy and to pass them on to their children, grandchildren, and then some. This is a 2004 edition of H. A. Reys writings depicting the stories about George and the Man in the Yellow Hat. Read it, and you will laugh your sides out.

My 2 year old loves the curious george stories. Theyre short enough to read a few before bedtime and interesting enough that he still chooses these stories on a regular basis to read, going on over 6 months now and still hasnt lost interest. Love that its a collection of several stories in one hardbound book.

curious George is generally a bad monkey with little self control. i wish i never showed this to my kid and when i read it i always find myself saying curious George was a BAD monkey

We are big fans of Curious George at our house! I love these treasury books that give you so many wonderful stories all in one. We have read this treasury (and many others) over and over again - they never get old. They are also great books for beginning readers to read once they can master other books like Biscuit or other I can read level 1 or pre-readers. One thing that I did with my children when they started reading these was alternate. Depending on how confident they are, you can start with alternating sentences and then alternating pages. Another thing that helped my son was tapping my hand when he didnt know a word...then he would continue on after I would read only that word. This helped because he could get pretty frustrated and angry sometimes. After implementing the tap, reading no longer became a chore or something that made you feel bad because you didnt know some of the words. After that, we were just able to enjoy the stories together knowing we might not know every word, and that is okay because sometimes we need a little help. The tap helped because he didnt have to keep saying I dont know this!!!! We found that a really easy solution to solve that issue. But back to Curious George...really fun stories for kids and adults alike! And purchasing the treasury books are a cost-effective way to add a ton of books (8 in this one!) to your home library. Highly recommend!

Our 3 yo asks for this book every night. He loves every story and can even tell it back to you. Recently his favorite is Curious George goes camping. So out of nowhere he now pretends he is a skunk and pointing his tail at us he says, Im going to stink you! This will probably come up somewhere embarassing. But childhood joy, fun, learning, and imagination is what Curious George is all about. Wonderful collection. We have a small set of short Curious George stories that arent as captivating as these for our kids. If you lile George and/or looking for just one, this is the one you want. If you have the others and are looking to add on, dont leave this one out.
