A Treasury of Curious George: 6 Stories in 1!

This has been one of my sons favorite books as a 2 and 3 year old. We have to read from it nearly every night. It gives a nice variety of Curious George stories. Easy to read, great illustrations.

This is a great compilation of George stories. My son loves it and we can read a new one every night!

First thing to know: these are not the originals. The front cover of the book is deceptive - its only once youre inside that you realize these stories are in the style of Margaret and H. A. Rey. That said, the stories are fun and theyre all collected in one spot, giving your youngster the feeling theyre holding a big, real book, one that requires use of a bookmark. The artwork is fine, though fairly different from the originals, and the stories, as pointed out by many a reviewer, are formulaic: George and the Man begin an activity, the Man disappears, Georges curiosity gets him into mostly mild trouble, Georges curiosity finds a solution, the Man reappears, it all ends happily. Frankly, if youre even a decent drawer, you can write your own George books using this formula. Curious George Builds a House. Curious George Takes a Trip in the LHC. Curious George Runs for President. Anyway, if your kid is tired of the originals, this is a decent follow-up.

Classic George. The train and toy store stories are my sons favorites. They have put together a good format for the kindle we read it on several devices.

Loved it!! Arrived earlier than expected and great stories!

This was a great addition to the movie that my grandson loves. We are big on reading so I hope this will help him love reading.

Curious George collection. Lovely edition. We were pleased with the book.

These stories do not have the same charm or creative plot lines as those originals. The majority are stories of a monkey running off and doing things he shouldnt but in the end is praised for it. Yawn. My toddlers like the illustrations but some stories could use a lot more creativity and down-to-earthness (if that is possible with a book about a monkey). There seem to be no realistic consequences and the man in the yellow hat is always taking George somewhere and then letting him run off. Predictable. Not a horrible read but certainly not the classics. I wish I had just checked it out from the library.

Love it! Its perfect as a sign in guest book for a baby shower! Now my baby will have a treasured collection of 8 stories in one book!

Our son loves these stories & they are always with us when we travel.
