> 3 daySo far I really like this unit. I had previously been using some ProCool units which work OK, but the design was rack-mount and very basic and the cost was a lot higher for a lot less style and features. Additionally, this unit is quieter with less higher frequency sound so less noticeable. Also, because it is directly over the heat and pulling it away, I think it is more efficient and can run at lower speeds which also makes it quieter. Im going to add a few multifans to this system and have ordered another for another system I have.

> 3 dayDont know why they used 3 small fans that have high noise rather than one large fan. This produces a high whine sound. Im a IT professional and reminds me of servers with whines like this, totally unusable if in the same room. I had it on the top of my Denon ATMOS receiver which throws a lot of heat out. It was in a cabinet behind a glass door with an open back and I could hear the whine with music on medium. It may be fine in an A/V rack in another room, but not in the same room.

> 3 dayI had used a couple of discreet very low noise PC fans, with built in sensors to vary their speed, but it proved difficult to consistently get the heat up from the Amp and out of the AV Cabinet. One look at the AC Infinite Aircom T8, however, and I just had to have one. With my living room AV Cabinet setup of enclosed glass door fronts, solid sides and open back it was just what I needed. My nice new but rather too warm at times Denon AV Amp has heat vents across the whole top serface, so the way the T8 pulls hot air from the Amp and passes out of the cabinet at the back is perfect. The three fans run at 6 levels, however, they are rather noisy above level 2 for me at a seating distance of around 10 feet away. Such noise issues are subjective and it depends on surroundings, room acoustics and the music and movies listened to.

Greater than one weekThis is the second T8 fan I buy to cool my new Parasound JC5 amp and it does its job of keeping my amp cool which runs a little hot! And this was the cheapest place I could find it at and it arrived sooner than expected with no issues!
