> 3 dayFirst off, any home audio enthusiast would dig this. Second, it works, period. Third, dust and other contaminants will have a harder time getting inside your receiver. Also, if you have cats who love to lay on warm things, this also works. As for noise level, yes if you have all of the fans going you will hear it. But with one or two fans going, which is plenty to keep it cool, you wont hear it. It has a smart feature that works based on a temperature you set that works approximately 10 degrees over. For example I set mine at 95 degrees and when the receiver hits 85 degrees a single fan comes on. It bounces back & forth for a while between a single fan to off. After a while, when your movie really gets cranking, it may bounce up to 86 to 87 degrees. The most it has taken to keep it cool after many hours it two fans, and unless youre on top of it listening you wont hear it, especially over any audio. I have a new high-end Denon receiver, and Denons are known for running hot, and if this keeps a Denon cool its a keeper. If youre considering this do yourself a favor and buy it already.

> 3 dayBefore I used it on my home stereo, the temp was in the high 90`s and sometimes higher, now with the Aircom T8 it never gets over 84 degrees no mater how loud I use my amp. It fit perfect in my rack and it exhaust out the back which is great. I would recommend for any user wanting to lower the temps on their home theater system! I love it, also not to loud either!

> 3 dayI wish products like this would come with an IR control. This one has an automatic temp feature which doesnt really serve my purpose but could be useful. I can see where this coolers auto feature could be annoying depending on the chosen fan speed. Higher settings are far from silent. With it on auto, set near the working temperature, this thing will turn off on within seconds repeatedly. I leave it on (not auto) and set for low fan speed and have no problems. That all being said, all the features seem to work as advertised and there were no issues with shipping.

> 3 dayVery nicely made using metal housing instead of plastic. Keeps temperature down 5 to 6 degrees from your preset settings. It’s also very affordable and looks very nice sitting on top of your receiver.

Greater than one weekOverall, I have to say that Ive been really pleased with the T8, even though Im still getting my set-up together and have barely had a chance to use the two I bought. But in trying to plan out my system, Ive run into a few improvements I would like to see. For older receivers that produce a LOT of heat and have switched outlets, this is an excellent add-on. But as Ive been trying to incorporate a more modern home theater receiver into things, Ive been faced with the harsh reality that most receivers made now do not have switched outlets. Now with the thermostatic control, its not a huge deal if the T8 stays on all the time, it will cool off and shut the fans off and use virtually no power. But most receivers I have looked at lately DO have a 12v trigger output (in lieu of a switched outlet), and from what little looking I have done, there is nothing that takes advantage of these (I havent found any 3rd party premade 12v relay switches, even though they would be simple to build) aside from possibly subwoofers. I think a 12v trigger input would be a GREAT addition to the AC Infinity cooling systems, as it would allow the Aircom to shut down completely with a receiver in the modern world. I saw the USB outs on my Yamaha and thought I could at least buy some additional fans to put on it that were powered by USB, but then found that the ports werent switched! So with this receiver (and all Ive looked at), the only way to switch the fans automatically would be to construct something to work off the 12v trigger port. Back to older receivers, the Aircom seems to work great, its the perfect size and seems to work perfectly and also quietly, and looks awesome. The only issue I ran into was the wall wart power supply taking up too much space on the back of the receiver. Depending on the placement and orientation of the outlets, that transformer can run into other connections and/or block other outlets from use. On only my second temporary set-up, I found myself grabbing another power supply that had a cord running to the transformer, rather than blades sticking out of one, because of the Aircom transformer being in the way of the power input for the receiver (this was on an older Yamaha). To sum up, I think the T8 is a GREAT product, but it would be a perfect (and more universal) solution if it had a 12v trigger input and a power supply with its own AC cord instead of the typical wall wart

> 3 dayWanted this for Christmas to sit on my Arcam AV which runs like a mother from hell juicing up a 7.1 system at 150W per speaker continuos. My first unit had a slight issue with sound. It made a slight rattle as the fans continued turning. I have acute hearing and I am a stickler so i judge harshly any product. Rather than give up i ordered another and returned the original faulty one. As i have worked in I.T for many years, I personally know that even equipment costing $20k from Cisco can sometimes arrive with hardware faults. Its the law of averages.

> 3 dayGood affordable solution -- a little noisy, and doesnt cool as fast as I thought, but it does do the trick
