> 3 dayThe AC Infinity line of fans (and their less expensive individual add-on fans) do a superb job of cooling electronics that tend to run rather hot these days. For a relatively small investment of ~.$o109 you can protect your equipment and increase its lifespan. For example, having to repair and, if not done properly, replace your receiver because of it getting too hot and unseating day the HDMI chip could be very costly if not covered under warranty. I selected the T8 because it exhausts to the rear, but AC Infinity also offers models that exhaust upward or to the front. They also offer individual fans that can be controlled by the main units or individually. The set up is easy, but wish they were a little more clear about the recommended min max settings for the thermostat (typically 85 to 95 degrees F, but can certainly be set higher if the fan is on too often. The fans are double ball-bearing, but can still be heard if your component cabinet is slotted or open. This is really only an issue when the volume is set low at nighttime or in the morning. I would have rated the unit higher overall if not for this 1 issue. I like the unit and would recommend it to anyone who wants to protect they expensive electronics and increase their longevity.

> 3 dayI own three of these: installation is simple and set-up is easy. But theres a problem with the power supply inlet. All three failed in less than six months after installation, even though the wall warts are still supplying juice. These units have never been moved or relocated; the fans remain in a constant position in my equipment stack and then they stop working without warning

Greater than one weekThis product was used to cool an AVR that was running ‘hot’. It kept the temperature at 85degF consistently, but at higher fan speeds makes quite a bit of noise. The noise is not unobtrusive, but can be heard if the unit is

> 3 dayAbsolutely amazing product. Keeps my monster Marantz SR7011 receiver very cool and giving it extra life! Would definitely buy again! Highly recommend.

> 3 dayI bought both the T-8 and T-9 and tested them on a 1983-vintage Sherwood S-6040CP 100 watts RMS dual mono power amp that, like other MOSFET amps of that era, runs hot. I tested both the T-8 and T-9 on top of the amp, which sits on top of the cabinet with no obstructions to air intake. Settings: Smart mode, target temp 85 degrees, and Level 2 maximum fan speed. I can hear Level 2 when listening to quiet music like solo piano, and Level 3 is too loud. Level 1 is almost inaudible even up close.

> 3 dayThe AC Infinity AIRCOM T8 has a lot of important features so that the cooling is effective for my situation. It is used on top of the often hot running Denon X6700H to exhaust out of the back of a partially open back closed cabinet. It is augmented with another inward blowing AC Infinity fan that is plugged into the Aircom T8. In my situation it runs about 65 percent of the time and it is noisier than I would like. In spite of the completely closed front wood/glass cabinet, it can be heard during quiet music or movies. If you must have AVR cooling to protect your electronic equipment, I would recommend this unit.

Greater than one weekThis is a very nice looking piece of equipment that blends in perfectly with my receiver. I may not be using it to its full potential as I think it gets a bit noisy once it gets to three steps of ventilation or higher so I try to keep it no more than two. This is not an issue with the equipment and is still something I highly recommend to anyone who has A/V gear that they want to keep cool.
