> 3 dayDisappointed that this is not as pictured. See the well lit ports in the picture, that doesn’t happen. The light is very tiny led that can only be seen looking straight down from above. In the picture I posted all ports are turned on but the led is generally not visible unless you stand over it. Would not recommend.

> 3 dayDecent quality of construction, the case and buttons seem ok. The button switches allow for a bit more off-center wobble but I can live with that. The cord will never be long enough but thats just standard USB 3.0. Get an extension if you must. I plugged in all my peripherals so I dont have to keep manually plugging them in when needed. I just push a button. The button lighting is a bonus, very easy to see which ports are powered at any time.

> 3 dayDepending on what devices you plug into this thing, you might run out of USB 3.1 endpoints. Most devices work great, as long as theyre not overly complex but others do not. I was unable to use my HOTAS throttle on it at all because I ran out of USB endpoints and it would randomly flip switches while I was trying to play a game, but the flight stick, from the same manufacturer works just fine. USB 3 has a more limited number of simultaneously connected devices that can be attached to a single controller so you might hit that wall, as I have and have to juggle cables to physical ports.

> 3 dayGreat customer support is always appreciated. 4 ports on my hub died, and a replacement was expedited to me no questions asked. Overall happy with the product, it definitely made my USB organization easier.

> 3 dayTo have the ability to turn ports on and off is very useful. I use this in an engineering lab that I have a bunch of sensors connected to it and to be able to power cycle the sensors just by pushing a button is priceless. Some of these sensors are so far embedded in my test setup that troubleshooting them by power cycling them without having to plug and unplug the USB cord is really very useful for me.

> 3 dayThis unit works perfectly fine and as-intended on my regular desktop PC. However I did not purchase it for that purpose, but to provide more powered USB ports for my Raspberry Pi 4 (rpi4) server (OMV OpenMediaVault NAS). It does not work for this. Ive spent the last couple hours running through testing scenarios. The rpi4 is very sensitive to power back feeding. In summary, if the hub sends power back to the rpi4 on USB the rpi4 will not boot. You can test this by putting a piece of electrical tape over lead 4 within the connector and trying it again -- youll find that it suddenly boots fine. On a powered hub this lead should not be connected. I believe the manufacturer could fix the design by just not connecting lead 4 within the USB connection to the PC. I am returning the unit and will try another high-wattage unit to see if it correctly has the USB wired to the PC.

> 3 dayI needed more than an 8-USB port hub - and this one works great. I purchased two of them and have no regrets.

Greater than one weekIm using this with a beefy Lenovo Tiny mounted under my desk, which is a great computer but short on USB ports. Stuck heavy-duty Velcro on the back of the hub and it under my desk behind the Tiny where it handles all the additional USB stuff. Performance has been great so far!
