> 24 hourI bought this for my 78 year old tech challenged Mom. It’s a perfect laptop for her banking and solitaire playing needs. Beautiful screen, quick boot up, fast browsing. What more do you need n a basic unit.

> 24 hourThis is a great laptop. It was an emergency purchase to replace a Lenovo ThinkPad that quit without warning. While I originally thought the backlit keyboard was a gimmick, Ive come to appreciate it when I need to work in dim lighting. The laptop is a nice weight, combining full functionality with a compact profile. Hard to believe its a 15inch screen while still being thin and compact. The ports are thoughtfully configured, with a USB port on the right side as well as the left. While I miss having an optical drive, having 2 USB ports on the left side means I can use an external drive without adding weight to the laptop. It is blazing fast compared to my previous laptops, and offers good all-around performance whether I am surfing the web or working in a spreadsheet.

> 24 hourI will take most of the blame for my feelings about this laptop. I should have done my homework before purchasing. This is more of a desktop than laptop (HUGE!!). When I upgraded to Windows 11, I thought that it would be a cinch to switch out of S mode, wrong again. When I tried to follow the instructions of various websites, I receive conflicting directions. One site, ACER, says to go to the Microsoft Store and Microsoft Office Support says, Be careful not to go to the store!
