I bought this G-Sync monitor and was extremely excited to get it up and running. The minute I got home from work and plugged it into my video card, things started to go south. First off, my second monitor which was plugged into my VC via HDMI was no longer recognized. I went to reboot to see if that would fix the problem and suddenly my computer had a crash dump, which it hasnt had in 3 years. Once the crash dump was finished processing I decided to reinstall my video card drivers to see if that would fix the issue. Once again, I rebooted, and once again, I got a crash dump. Something about this monitor was conflicting with my video card. I decided to give up on trying to fix that and instead moved on to see how the monitor impacted my gameplay. I booted up Diablo 3 and was prepared to be blown away--but no change. I started to google how to set up my G-sync monitor. Pages upon pages of instructions until I finally found a simple process. I opened my NVidia control panel and went to the place where enabling G-Sync was supposed to be and it wasnt there. I even verified through the NVidia site that my video card supported G-Sync so I was at a loss. Another googled webpage told me to turn on Vertical Sync via my NVidia control panel and that that would enable G-Sync---once again to no avail. I finally called a computer expert friend of mine for some help. He remoted in and tried to do all the same steps I did and wasnt able to find any option to enable G-Sync. He was though, able to go into my monitor setting and turn it up to 144hz, which DID look amazing. But no G-sync for gameplay. So thats all the technical headache. Aesthetically, this monitor has much to be desired and is really showing its age. The monitor is thick, with a thick frame. Doesnt match the look and feel of modern, sleeker monitors. Looked like an ugly stepchild when sitting next to my Dell monitor. Pros: 144hz looks nice Very reasonable price for a monitor Cons: Very difficult to get working properly Not compatible with some NVidia video cards Ugly aesthetics

Sorry for the messy photo, but my cables were all organized until Acer support wanted me to try different cables to try and fix this white screen. Just bought this product 8/6/2019, and Im writing this as of 8/11/2019. I was only able to use it for 5 days and when I got home, excitedly turned on the computer, started playing my game, and suddenly, just a blank....white.....screen. Called Amazon Tech Support, and looks like they knew right away the issue, dead LCD. They recommended to either contact Acer Warranty for a replacement, or just do a return. I attempted to file a warranty claim with Acer using their website. I was able to fill in all the details, hit the last checkbox, and when I hit NEXT, it doesnt let me through. Maybe its because Im using Safari, so I tried Firefox, still the same thing. But hey, maybe their website is not optimized for Mac, lets try my Windows laptop. Still the same thing. Now Im pissed. Lets try calling their 24/7 Tech Support, which made me do the steps which I already told from the start that I already did prior to calling, but okay, I guess you wanna make sure. Here comes the fun part, I will be shipping the monitor to Texas, and any damage incurred during shipping will void the freakin warranty. GREAT! WHAT COULD GO WRONG DURING SHIPPING RIGHT? Oh, and dont forget, it takes 7-10 business days for them to check it out, and thats starting from when they receive the monitor. Good thing I still have the box because for sure, its way faster to return this piece of crap to Amazon and order a non-ACER one and it will take me less than a week to receive it. RANT OVER, NOW HERE COMES THE REVIEW FOR THE 5 DAYS I WAS ABLE TO ENJOY IT. Pros: - Jumping from 60Hz to 144Hz is something else. Once you go 144Hz, you cant go back to 60Hz. Everything is buttery smooth on my games in Ultra. I never knew watching yourself hover your mouse on the screen would be satisfying. - Comes with a Display Port cable, so you dont have to buy one. - The swivel, tilt, height adjustable mount is interesting. Very easy to work with. Youll have to see for yourself to know what I mean. - Box is really solid. I feel like if I kick it with the monitor inside, it wont break. Im pretty sure our folks on the Amazon warehouse already threw this thing multiple times but it still survived without any major defects on the box. Cons: - Very unfriendly UI on the settings of the monitor. Its a chore to actually adjust stuff, and the settings that you get are hard to navigate at. - Its a TN screen, so if youre coming from an IPS display, its not a pretty sight. Some of the stuff on the screen actually is blurred if its text, but with any graphic programs, really works well. - I didnt notice any response delay difference between my 60Hz Dell IPS monitor vs this monitor. Both of them seem to have barely noticeable response times, but maybe its because I only play MMOs and not shooters. - Broke down on me on the 6th day. White screen of death. Im glad that those who got working ones are enjoying their monitors. Sadly for me, thats not the case.

First off, the monitor itself is great. I have no complaints about the color/performance of this monitor. It has performed great and compared to many of the more expensive gaming monitors, the price is very reasonable. It does benefit to go through a color calibration process on your computer when you get it. By default, the monitor is a bit bright and washed out, but through calibration, you can get some really vivid and full colors from this thing. Anyway, the reason for the negative review is regarding the warranty. I purchased this in October of 2018 and one day only 9 months later the monitor would not work; it kept saying no signal. I called up their support number and got on the phone with someone and after going through a lengthy troubleshooting session. Firstly, I was talking with a person who I had a really hard time understanding. Between my kids making noise in the background, the quality of the phone call, and the accent of the person, I had to ask him to repeat everything he said for most everything. It was difficult, but I managed. After going through all possible solutions, he said that Id need to send it in to be repaired. They would not send a call tag to have the monitor picked up at their expense. Instead, I would have to send it in at my own expense, and in the meantime, Id have to either find a different monitor to use or be without a monitor for 7-10 days. I decided instead of paying for the return shipping to instead put that money toward a new monitor. Before buying a replacement, I kept trying to make the original monitor work, and fortunately, I have been able to get it working again (not really sure what made it work again), so I have not had to purchase a replacement. Again, I cannot say anything bad about the monitor, as long as it is functioning, but if you end up having to get it replaced, do not expect a great experience. Their policy of me having to pay (even if its just the shipping) to have it repaired is not acceptable to me, particularly within such a short window.

I would not recommend this monitor unless you are pressed to buy it and wont have a 144hz monitor for any other price. So, I bought this 144hz monitor for my new computer that I built. This monitor has poor picture quality, bad colors, connection issues, and bad brightness. Its not good. However, it is 144hz. So thats nice. Another bad thing is that, in three months from purchase, it got a vertical red line down the screen. Vertical red lines are connection issues that are nearly impossible to cause on your own and impossible to fix without removing the panel. I did not hit the monitor or do any moving when it appeared. I simply was browsing the internet. They said this damage was under warranty. I sent the monitor in for the vertical red line and it was fixed within a week and a half. However, it cost me 23 dollars and my time! I also noted that the monitor had other issues (including connection issues), which they did not fix. The only thing that was fixed was the red vertical line. I want my 23 dollars back! Again, I would not recommend this monitor. It sucks and Acer kind of sucks. At least they paid for the shipping label!

We bought this monitor to complement the Acer XF243Y. We thought this cheaper model with the XFA variant was just an Amazon exclusive. Be warned--this is NOT the case. The XFA uses a much cheaper TN panel while the XF uses a VA panel. If you dont know what this means, look it up. Its important. You get what you pay for. There is no mention of this on the product page nor the manual.

First off if you order this from amazon, get the gift wrapping option. They come shipped in their factory box which clearly advertises what is inside the box. My first one disappeared or was never arrived to my house. Amazon was awesome and replaced it and I was on standby the whole day it was to arrive lol. That aside, I’m really pleased with the monitor itself. It’s the first “gaming” monitor I’ve ever owned so with nothing to compare it against, it does what it advertises. The packaging in the box is very protective. Assembly is quick, intuitive, and no tools are needed. The base is stable, which is welcome since this monitor can be rotated, swiveled, raised and lowered in height, ect. I didn’t have any dead pixels in my screen thankfully. Picture is great. I haven’t played any fast paced games so can’t comment on that aspect, the games I do play are better presented since this is much bigger than any monitor I’ve owned previous. On that note, if you are buying your first monitor, because you are sitting closer, monitors appear larger than you might think having bought tv’s. What I mean is a 24 inch tv for watching the news is tiny, but this monitor for gaming is about the limits of how big I want a monitor. I had to look at the box and make sure it was the correct one/size. (Glad I didn’t buy a 37”) Anyway, it does 144hz 1080p and IMO does it well for a really great price. Haven’t had it long, so hopefully the reliability is on par with everything else so far. At this time I highly recommend.

This monitor is my central of three and I love it! Its elevated my gaming experience ten fold and if someone is looking to get a budget monitor that can stream seamless video quality in over 144hz, this is probably the best pick on this website. THAT BEING SAID there is certainly an issue with longevity that I have seen in other reviews as well. For one, if you plan on using a Display Port cable for this monitor, BOY HOWDY to you because this monitor LOVES to die for no reason. I think its faulty manufacturing but the display ports just DIE on this monitor, I have only had mine for 6 months. Luckily, all you need to do is swap to an HDMI and you can get crystal clear picture again, but youre compromising on frames at that point which should not have to happen in the first place! All in all, I recommend this product for sure! Just keep an extra HDMI handy for when the inevitable happens.

There is soooo much ghosting on my monitor but I’m able to just block it out but if you look at the monitor it’s really noticeable

I bought this monitor back in 2019 december so its just been about 3 years. I am still using it as I speak and its been an awesome monitor. No dead pixels or anything, the only thing that has bugged me with this monitor is a group of atleast 2 or 3 stuck pixels that will be on my screen but to fix it all I do is barely push on my monitor where the pixel is and it goes away for a while, itll come back in weeks to months later but its not a huge deal to me, still a great monitor for the price.

Bottom Line Upfront: The monitors color are extremely bright out of the box. I WOULD NOT recommend this product unless you have the motivation, time, and energy to adjust the settings in order to make the monitor look normal. Hey there! I would like to start off by that I bought this monitor primarily to increase my FPS while playing Overwatch. Here are a couple things I like about the monitor. The monitor is cheap (keep this in mind as you read further through the review). There arent a lot of 144Mhz Freesync monitors out there that cost less than $350-$400. The base stand is very nice. The stand is fully adjustable, which makes it super easy to adjust the height of the monitor. The monitor comes with DVI cable which made my life a bit more convenient. Heres what I didnt like about the monitor. The color profile looks extremely bad out of the box. The colors are extremely bright and saturated to the point where it was hard to tell a difference. I had to do A LOT of work to make the monitor look decent. I spent about 4-5 hours researching and applying the perfect settings. I even had to download a seperate program to help adjust the colors. This was a VERY time consuming and annoying process. However, Ive had no problems with the monitor since. In the end, if I had to do it all over again, I would just shell out the extra money for a better monitor out of the box. There is no worse feeling than receiving a brand new monitor only to find out that it requires numerous adjustments.

Through AMD FreeSync Premium technology, the game’s frame rate is determined by your graphics card, not the fixed refresh rate of the monitor, giving you a serious competitive edge. Plus, users can enjoy comfortable viewing experience while gaming via flicker-less, low dimming and ComfyView display. The design saves space on your desk and lets you place multiple monitors side by side to build a seamless big-screen display. (UM.KX3AA.Z03).
