For $209.99, this is one of the cheapest 144 Hz gaming monitors you will find on Amazon. I like Acer as a brand and they have come up big with another quality product. This monitor is extremely easy to assemble, with the base using just one screw and the stand using a snap-in functionality to the screen. I like the design and the bezel is a decent size. The buttons look nice and give you easy access to some useful functions like adjusting brightness, volume, mode, etc. Be wary that the colors it comes with out of the box are sub-optimal. If you are looking to game or do any graphic intensive activities, consider looking up some color profiles online or creating your own. Not to be alarmed, this is the same with all other cheaper 144 Hz monitors (out of the box, that is). The DP cable that comes with the monitor is somewhat short (3ft, I believe) so if you need your monitor somewhat far from a plug, consider purchasing a longer DP cable (PrimeNow has a 10ft cable for $11.99). Also, this monitor has no cable management (not a big deal), so if youre worried about cords hanging loose, maybe invest in some cable clips. Overall a great product for the value, quality, and functionality.

Monitor is great for gaming but colors out the box are awful. Once adjusted it looks really good for games but my biggest problem with it is Whites just aren’t as white as Id like them to be. I can’t explain it but it’s definitely noticeable when doing something like a word document. Bezels are thick to some people that would be a problem. Does include a display port cable which is nice. VESA compatible always a plus. G-sync adaptive so is a freesync monitor that supports g-sync on 10XX & 20XX graphics cards. Built in speakers aren’t great but that’s expected of a monitor and I’m surprised they had speakers to begin with. Overall a solid monitor for gaming but biggest issue is colors

Recieved one with dead pixels out of the box. However I am getting an exchange. From the short time I used it with the defective pixel, The performance was good. You may need to go adjust your monitor to 144hz as it may be factory set at 60hz. BEWARE nvidia purist! The monitor is not G-sync its AMD freesync. If you are in need for 144hz while on a budget this will do you just fine with no frills. The audio is comparable to a 1999 honda civic with 200,000 miles on it. But Im sure most of you keep your headsets on when you go into incognito mode anyways. Overall its a good budget monitor if you are seeking 144hz with 1080p quality. Otherwise take more shifts at work and get something that doesnt make you feel suspicious and read reviews because you want to be a cheap ass.

Edit June 2019: No Signal issue over DisplayPort is getting worse and worse. Really tired of fighting with this monitor. I would not suggest buying. EDIT April 19 2019 (lowering to 3 stars) - Updating to say that I still like the monitor but the DisplayPort cable it comes with is causing some problems. I am frequently getting No Signal on this monitor when I start my computer. I used to be able to fix it by unplugging cables or restarting the monitor, but now that isnt always working either. Read about the pin 20 problem with some DP cables, I believe that is the issue here. So I am looking at spending more money on a better cable. For right now I have to fight this monitor to get it working, or use HDMI instead which doesnt allow it to run at the highest frame rate. Acer should include quality cables that are wired correctly. Ive only used it for a few hours so far. No dead pixels or anything out of the box. Be patient when you first use it if you are used to a nicer monitor such as IPS. This is going to look pretty rough at first. Look up some color profiles and take the time to calibrate it to your liking. This is my first experience going above 60hz and it is worth it. Games like Rocket League look incredible. I can see why people say it is impossible to go back to lower refresh rates once you get used to this. This is also my first monitor with a high quality stand that allows you to raise and lower it easily, swivel etc. Very nice to have. I purchased this based on the recent news that Nvidia will start to allow the adaptive sync in these Freesync monitors to work with their GPUs. This model is one of the 12 out of 400 tested that Nvidia specifically listed as passing their standards for picture quality etc. The driver hasnt been released yet but we will see how it functions soon. The OSD menu is a little clunky and it seems to me that it doesnt do a great job always remembering your settings. TN panels have inherent downsides but if you arent the type to go get a $600 monitor then something like this is worth considering. With some calibration I am happy with the colors and contrast and games look great. For watching videos or browsing, I will be keeping my IPS monitor.

After 1-1.5 years, monitor quality of 2 out of 3 monitors makes them unusable. Awful vertical striping throughout the screens, no help from their support, not resolved through resolution changes or new cables -- there is some major hardware quality problem with these... My review was rejected for an unknown reason, so I did not re-attach the photo of the problem. Just be aware that these monitors have a serious issue that may only appear after Amazons return window has closed.
