Greater than one weekThis monitor is my central of three and I love it! Its elevated my gaming experience ten fold and if someone is looking to get a budget monitor that can stream seamless video quality in over 144hz, this is probably the best pick on this website. THAT BEING SAID there is certainly an issue with longevity that I have seen in other reviews as well. For one, if you plan on using a Display Port cable for this monitor, BOY HOWDY to you because this monitor LOVES to die for no reason. I think its faulty manufacturing but the display ports just DIE on this monitor, I have only had mine for 6 months. Luckily, all you need to do is swap to an HDMI and you can get crystal clear picture again, but youre compromising on frames at that point which should not have to happen in the first place! All in all, I recommend this product for sure! Just keep an extra HDMI handy for when the inevitable happens.

Greater than one weekWe bought this monitor to complement the Acer XF243Y. We thought this cheaper model with the XFA variant was just an Amazon exclusive. Be warned--this is NOT the case. The XFA uses a much cheaper TN panel while the XF uses a VA panel. If you dont know what this means, look it up. Its important. You get what you pay for. There is no mention of this on the product page nor the manual.

> 3 dayGot this for $200 bucks and was well worth it. Returned my Sceptre Freesync monitor for this and was well worth the trade. The G-Sync compatibility actually works (people need to do their research and realize that this is FreeSync monitor that has G-Sync capabilities which is certified by Nvidia themselves) Picture quality is sharp and monitor looks like a bulky monster which I love. The stand is really big, but amazing for versatility of turning the monitor wherever you want (even vertically). Only downside is the weird default color/contrast. Theyre a bit weird with this monitor and needs lots of tweaking to your liking with the OSD settings. I also wish that this was edgeless, but its whatever. NOTE: You will need a flathead to screw in one of the stand pieces, they DO NOT give you one to setup the monitor so you will need your own. EDIT - April 2021... for the past two months or so Ive been having a stuck pickle popping in out and every once in the same area every once in a while... which can get annoying.

> 3 dayi love this monitor and way better than my older monitor i used. This is almost a perfect display for me. the size is great, custom-ability in the settings is fantastic. the only issue i have is the picture quality, it is a bit washed out for my liking. i did go in the setting and fix it and make it better but it never got to perfect levels. setting that i changed: Picture brightness: 50 Contrast: 50 Black level: 3-5 (what i found to be the sweet spots) Blue light: off Super Sharpness: off (looks worse when on tbh) Color Gama: 2.2 Golour Temp: Normal 6-axis hue: everything 50 6-axis saturate: everything around 75-80 after i set the changes to that, the color was a lot better and was more enjoyable. dont plug this in and expect it to be ready to go cause you do have to mess around with it a bit. i noticed some people liked the 6-axis saturate where everything around 55 except yellow, that is at 59. i think this monitor is worth it. edit: i have been using this monitor for about 3 months now(not exact cause they just made it gsync compatible while i bought it when it was freesync compatible). The only issue i have came across is with the power port. if i try to move the monitor the cord will become loose. all you have to do is push move the power cord around and/or push it back it. it really isnt an issue since it doesnt do it when its just sitting there and not being touched. if it wasnt for that it would really be a perfect monitor. but to me it really isnt a big deal since it only happens when im cleaning my desk, plugging in a new cable, or just repositioning the monitor but i rarely do any of those things anyway so it really isnt a big deal. This monitor has been really good and all the issues besides that is just been windows 10 or user error. the one weird thing that i found is that when you power off the monitor it completely shuts down unlike every monitor i had. my PC thinks its not there and will move everything to my second monitor and i actually like that feature. it saves power when you arent using it and isnt constantly having power brought to the monitor when its off. i just wished i waited a few months to get it when it got gsync so i can use those features. I have a 1070ti and i cant use freesync but the monitor works perfectly fine still. besides that everything is great. still butter smooth, sharp image but you have to tune it up since it comes pretty bland and dull out of the box but i think that is so we can customize it how we want and show us how really good this monitor can be. i would definitely buy this monitor again even with that weird power issue. 10/10, best monitor i have owned

> 3 dayI was reading a review and saw someone else experience the exact same issue I have. Sometimes the display will go blank and show nothing. This could happen for days and then eventually work fine again. If I looked at a second monitor when the issue occurred, I could see windows recognizing the device when its on and hiding the device when its off, so it seems like there is a signal being sent. The monitor was just not displaying it. The monitor is relatively cheap compare to other high refresh rate monitors(At the time I bought it in 2017). I had this issue occur to me multiple times and I even sent it to Acer twice to get repaired. Shipping I had to cover each time. Both times, the monitor got sent back to me saying they could not reproduce the issue and no repairs were done on it. I narrowed down the issue to the monitor. Some testing I did was use different GPUs, use a different display port and use a different cable. All the while I had a second monitor that did not have any issues at all. One solution was to use the HDMI port but that was only limited to 120Hz, not the 144Hz advertised and the reason why I chose this. I had some issues with FreeSync as well, causing the entire display(more like the backlight) to look like its flickering and it was very distracting. I wound up buying a new monitor and have not had any issues with that since. Since the warranty has expired, Im attempting to use the benefit on my Amazon Prime card of extending the warranty an extra year for certain products. I reached out to Acer to get a repair estimate, their standard fee for out of warranty repairs is $179. Youd be better off just buying the monitor again after factoring shipping.

Greater than one weekI returned this monitor after about three days. 144hz is great, but if you care enough to get that kind of refresh rate, youll care that this monitor makes it look bad. ---- As far as 144hz monitors go, this is about the cheapest you can get. And it shows. Youll see lots of reviews about how poor the color looks on this screen - and theyre right. Some of them, and other places on the internet, will tell you that this screen can be improved with manual color calibration. While thats *technically* true, it will never come close to any other monitor Ive had in terms of color range. No matter what settings or color profiles I installed, the colors always looked washed out. Im not a big videophile or anything like that, but I couldnt use this monitor with any other monitor I own because the difference was incredibly noticeable - and nauseating. After never worrying about colors on my other monitors, this was a stressful experience that I did not anticipate. Many LCD monitors advertise a precise viewing angle at which to view the screen. On this monitor, the viewing angle is SO small that the top and bottom of your screen will always look slightly off, and only the very middle will maintain the appropriate colors - or near to them, since the poor screen color problem still exists there. ---- I will say that I liked the stand - high range of motion, good angles, rotation great. However, its LARGE. The stand base is about a foot, in a circle, and it didnt fit comfortably on my desk. I had to move my keyboard farther forward to make room, and move my desk itself away from the wall to let it hang over a bit. This may not be a problem if you have a large desk, but just be aware.

> 3 dayI would not recommend this monitor unless you are pressed to buy it and wont have a 144hz monitor for any other price. So, I bought this 144hz monitor for my new computer that I built. This monitor has poor picture quality, bad colors, connection issues, and bad brightness. Its not good. However, it is 144hz. So thats nice. Another bad thing is that, in three months from purchase, it got a vertical red line down the screen. Vertical red lines are connection issues that are nearly impossible to cause on your own and impossible to fix without removing the panel. I did not hit the monitor or do any moving when it appeared. I simply was browsing the internet. They said this damage was under warranty. I sent the monitor in for the vertical red line and it was fixed within a week and a half. However, it cost me 23 dollars and my time! I also noted that the monitor had other issues (including connection issues), which they did not fix. The only thing that was fixed was the red vertical line. I want my 23 dollars back! Again, I would not recommend this monitor. It sucks and Acer kind of sucks. At least they paid for the shipping label!

> 3 dayColor is awesome, runs smoothly. I use it on my laptop for playing Valorant and it runs much better than my screen. I get 150+ fps and 144-165 hz.
