> 3 dayAs soon as it powered on, there was one, long, continuous beep (like a heat warning). Because of this noise, I had to return this immediately after I opened the box. The machine also has no hdmi or vgi connections so I could not hook it up to my monitor.

> 3 dayTo be honest, I dont like Microsoft sticking their nose into everything. Oh well. I guess I will get used to it. I always liked Acer computers. I have had 3 computers by them several years apart. I was never a game person myself, I just needed more upfront memory for other things.

Greater than one weekI cant believe that in 2021 there are still companies selling computers that are advertised as gaming PCs but only ship with 8GB of RAM. That is ridiculous in my opinion. I hope Acer will realize their mistake and start shipping this computer with 16GB of RAM. So as soon as you receive it, that is the first thing you need to upgrade. If you want a good overall computer for daily use and plan to do a bit of gaming, that might be the only upgrade you need. But if you are a serious gamer who needs the best performance possible, you will either want to replace the GPU or look at a different computer than this one. But I am a light gamer and am more concerned with the overall performance of a computer, so this system has performed well for me after I upgraded the RAM. It doesnt ship with Windows 11 like many systems do these days, but Acer says it will be available as a free upgrade. Other the fact that you need to upgrade the RAM, this system is a fairly good value for the price and it is fairly fast.

> 3 dayThe i5 6-core processor is good but a little outdated and the GeForce RTX 1650 doesnt compare to a 1080 or an RTX card. It can run most games smoothly but dont expect to be able to max out the graphics without losing significant FPS. I think for the price this is good for the specs listed. It runs fast and would work well as an intro to mid-range gaming computer or excellent as a basic-use computer. I generally prefer gaming computers, even for basic use because the processors can handle bigger/more complex programs and multi-tasking very well. I recommend upgrading the graphics card if you wish to use this for more demanding games that require a lot of FPS.

Greater than one weekMost monitors are HDMI and/or Display port ready. DVI is old tech and doesnt carry an audio channel. But this quickly became the least of my problems with this computer and ACER. When I called customer service to see if there was a workaround for using 2 monitors with this old tech connection, they forced me through a series of telemarketing adds requiring a response. After 15 minutes of this runaround, I was furious. The Payoff was they hung up on me after I said NO! Over and over to medic alert brackets and many other items I clearly had no interest in. After that, I dont care if there is a simple solution. They can take this computer and shove....

> 3 dayMy teen has been asking for his own desktop for gaming for awhile. He doesnt do any of the newer, high requirement games, so I cant comment on those games.

> 3 dayIt heats up way too fast, but then again, this is an entry level desktop. Still, for 800 dollars, I expected something much more. It’s life expectancy is terrible.
