I cant believe that in 2021 there are still companies selling computers that are advertised as gaming PCs but only ship with 8GB of RAM. That is ridiculous in my opinion. I hope Acer will realize their mistake and start shipping this computer with 16GB of RAM. So as soon as you receive it, that is the first thing you need to upgrade. If you want a good overall computer for daily use and plan to do a bit of gaming, that might be the only upgrade you need. But if you are a serious gamer who needs the best performance possible, you will either want to replace the GPU or look at a different computer than this one. But I am a light gamer and am more concerned with the overall performance of a computer, so this system has performed well for me after I upgraded the RAM. It doesnt ship with Windows 11 like many systems do these days, but Acer says it will be available as a free upgrade. Other the fact that you need to upgrade the RAM, this system is a fairly good value for the price and it is fairly fast.

A couple adjustments need be made such as settings, and add a couple components. I bought the item for very minor gaming, mostly for video/picture editing with a word processor. However, it seems to be heating up very quickly. Over the next week I will make a decision to send it back if its unable to be improved.

My last computer was an Acer and I’ve been pleased with the performance. I don’t use it as frequently since it’s almost 4 years old now. Having a newer computer under $1000 that has the updated features and capabilities is what the Acer Nitro 50 offers. More power, better graphics and overall better experience. Upgrading every few years to the newest technology can be costly that’s why I typically try to set a budget of less than a grand. I am not a big gamer but for occasional gaming, work and personal tasks this was perfect for me.

After having this system for a while, I will go ahead and say an extra 8gb stick with of RAM is required to get full utilization from this system. I also bought an extra m.2 ssd. Gaming- with this system and the upgrades purchased for it, I am able to play games mostly in QHD and get 50-60 fps. I am also able to even play in native 4k (high or medium graphics preset) and get above 30 to 40 fps. Solid gaming experience. Production- as a side hobby I am a music producer, and use FL Studio 20 as my main work environment. Compared to my previous system I am able to have a fast, steady, and smooth workflow with the increased processing power of the 11th Gen Intel CPU in the system. Lastly I upgraded to Win 11, and I can confidently say this system is pretty much capable of anything you throw at it. Can’t forget the upgrade path also, for future upgrades to the CPU, GPU, more RAM etc. Overall- I am happy with the purchase, but I recommend upgrading the RAM and getting more storage.

Im still working with the seller to try to fix the situation. The computer showed up, I removed all the bloat (programs Ill never participate in). I do video editing and sound design so just needed something for semi-heavy rendering with Vegas Pro 20 & Studio One 6 Recording software. 2 weeks in, everything happened in 1 day. Rebooted on its own. No big deal right? Then a couple hours later during light work load (no gaming, Im not a gamer) long beep that wouldnt stop. Turned off with the power button. Waited maybe 10 minutes. Pushed the power button; nothing, no power. Been through all the troubleshooting (most of which I couldnt do because no power) but I figured they knew something I didnt. It is currently a paperweight. I will proably come back and update this later but if someone asked me today, Id say DO NOT buy this computer. Ive heard about nothing but problems, even possession after doing more research on the internet. I guess Acer doesnt care about their customers. I like Lenova. Ive had 3 in the past 10 years and have had nothing but good experiences. My T430 Laptop has out lasted everything. Im on it now. Stay tuned for more later.

Super fast desktop. Can game but works great for offices and business applications. Very quiet and runs effortlessly all day. Never had issues with setup and Windows 11 offers a pleasant experience when paired with the Spectre 75 Hz screen
