I wanted an up to date computer that was up-gradable to Windows 11. Please make sure to check this before buying a computer. The computer powered up right out of the box without any issues, connected to internet and upgraded to Windows 11 in less than two hours I was all set up. I upgraded the RAM by adding another 8GB. The web sight says the Ram is PC 2666 MHZ but is actually PC3200 in the computer. I had to return the PC2666 because felt it important that the computer runs with what was put in, plus was the same price for either speed, so faster RAM did not cost me more. One reviewer said his fan was loud. Mine is quieter than my last computer. I suppose in a quiet room you could here it. The Red LED lighting is okay. I added two more SATA hard drives for storage. I have not run any games yet. From the reviews I read this should not be an issue. I am not a hard core gamer and most of my games are several years old so I do not expect and issues. I am very happy with this computer.

My last computer was an Acer and I’ve been pleased with the performance. I don’t use it as frequently since it’s almost 4 years old now. Having a newer computer under $1000 that has the updated features and capabilities is what the Acer Nitro 50 offers. More power, better graphics and overall better experience. Upgrading every few years to the newest technology can be costly that’s why I typically try to set a budget of less than a grand. I am not a big gamer but for occasional gaming, work and personal tasks this was perfect for me.

As someone who is very inept and clueless when it comes to computers and gaming, this desktop was a great beginner gaming desktop. Im not much of a hardcore gamer, but I am able to run most of the games that I play including Overwatch, Assassins Creed, and Monster Hunter. I also mostly use the computer for schoolwork and work-related projects, and it is plenty enough for just that.

After having this system for a while, I will go ahead and say an extra 8gb stick with of RAM is required to get full utilization from this system. I also bought an extra m.2 ssd. Gaming- with this system and the upgrades purchased for it, I am able to play games mostly in QHD and get 50-60 fps. I am also able to even play in native 4k (high or medium graphics preset) and get above 30 to 40 fps. Solid gaming experience. Production- as a side hobby I am a music producer, and use FL Studio 20 as my main work environment. Compared to my previous system I am able to have a fast, steady, and smooth workflow with the increased processing power of the 11th Gen Intel CPU in the system. Lastly I upgraded to Win 11, and I can confidently say this system is pretty much capable of anything you throw at it. Can’t forget the upgrade path also, for future upgrades to the CPU, GPU, more RAM etc. Overall- I am happy with the purchase, but I recommend upgrading the RAM and getting more storage.

Most monitors are HDMI and/or Display port ready. DVI is old tech and doesnt carry an audio channel. But this quickly became the least of my problems with this computer and ACER. When I called customer service to see if there was a workaround for using 2 monitors with this old tech connection, they forced me through a series of telemarketing adds requiring a response. After 15 minutes of this runaround, I was furious. The Payoff was they hung up on me after I said NO! Over and over to medic alert brackets and many other items I clearly had no interest in. After that, I dont care if there is a simple solution. They can take this computer and shove....

Purchased as a gift for grandson and was disappointed to find the included keyboard was missing the 10 key keypad enter key. Because it was sold as a package it was to much of a hassle to return the entire system for just a keyboard issue. Be careful.
