> 3 dayDespite the shining review score, this is not an ideal laptop for gaming, primarily because of the overheating. Even when paired with a cooling platform, it still overheats with games that really shouldnt be overdemanding to this gaming laptop. I dont know what the deal is since google delivers a million fixes for overheating, most of which make no sense. The games Ive played that overheat this machine include Raft, Terraria, Elder Scrolls Online, and Baldurs Gate 3. My second charger just died as a result of this (same as the original) - $50 down the drain, and another $50 for a third now. Whats the point of buying a $1200 gaming laptop if you cant play games on it?

> 3 dayBought this for my husband and son for gaming and they absolutely love it! Quality for the price is excellent! We looked at tons of gaming laptops and took the time to make sure we would be happy with our purchase and we definitely are!

Greater than one weekIm very pleased with this laptop! It runs very smooth and the screen looks great. The battery life isnt the best though; typically it lasts a few hours before giving me the battery low notification. The fans when the laptop is cooling down are much quiter than I expected them to be. Overall, its working great!

16-04-2025This beats the heck out of my old laptop that I have for 6 years however the screen is a bit smaller but I will use my hdmi cord to hook it up to my 4k tv so I am all good now

> 3 dayEverything I used was perfect. So why 3 stars? I used it and worked OK. When I needed to unplug it once, and travel, in less than 90 min I had to look for a plug.

> 3 dayPerforms well, and not terribly loud. Marginal gains from overclocking at the expense of a dramatic increase in noise. Display is not quite as bright as I would like for a room with lots of natural light but the refresh rate is a plus. RAM and M.2 expansion is painless, however 2.5 SSD expansion is effectively impossible without finding the proper cable. After calling Acer, they pointed me to a third party that produces the proper cable. Too difficult to navigate their web page so I gave up. I have been through two cables from amazon, and they did not work.
