Dean!
Greater than one weekI will admit that Acer is not typically the brand that you think of for high performance -- gaming or not. After using this for a few days, I am completely tickled impressed!

> 3 dayThe best part of this laptop is its Aeroblade cooling, it may sound loud but at the end of the day cooling is important for a gaming laptop and plus i found the overall construction quality much better than my earlier Asus laptop.

> 3 dayIt was great until a few months ago when it started shutting itself off. Sometimes in the first few minutes of use, usually while typing. No issues overheating and it was never moved or dropped so Im not sure why its happening.

> 3 dayI got this computer to game on, switching from PS4. Firstly, if you are thinking about making the switch to pc gaming I would highly recommend you do and this pc would not be a bad place to start at all. I have been playing Apex legends, Destiny 2 and a few others with no issues at mostly maxed settings. Screen is beautiful. Powering up takes about 4 seconds from completely off till you can enter your password, if even that long. Does seem to get warm quickly but has caused no performance issues that I could notice. The mouse that they send with this product is.... well its a laser mouse and upgrading to an optical mouse for gaming was a big step up for me, you might as well not open that at all. I have a friend with the same laptop, just a few years older and he has yet to run into a game that wouldnt run on this PC. Not that it affects much but the packaging was very nice.

> 3 dayI mean it runs most games quite well, it only runs into a few small issues here and there when it comes to FPS shooters. Mostly the ability to maintain a 144hz speed especially within Siege. Besides that aspect for games of simply personal use like Monster Hunter, Rise of the Tomb Raider, etc. its quite fine. Also my only real con is the aspect of not having a hdd and having a closed up ethernet port (you need to pull on the plastic cover-ish to put the ethernet cable in. HDD issue can be resolved easily simply buying the HDD as I did which should be somewhere linked with this purchase and opening the back and simply placing it there with the mounting though take caution as some spaces are hard to get to and you might drop a screw into the pc itself.
