The machine is quite fast as expected from the specifications, the one thing I did not like was the aesthetics of the machine. So essentially performance wise it is a good purchase, especially for the price but the design could have been much better

I really love this laptop. The only reason why I’m giving it 3 starts if because how can you give someone a laptop where the graphics card doesn’t work? I know a friend who knows computer stuff so don’t try and send another laptop where it doesn’t work or send it back where you couldn’t fix.

Very nice gaming laptop

The first one I got was a dud but I was helped by customer service promptly and received a brand new one within a week of finding out the one shipped to me was a dud, excellent customer service on their end. The only thing I have issues with is the battery life but I leave it plugged in mostly anyways so it doesnt really affect me. It can get very hot so if you plan on using this on your lap or where the bottom of it will be covered be sure to by a cooling pad for it, theyre very cheap and basically a must have for gaming with it if youre using it on a poorly ventilated surface.

I had been waiting indefinitely for video card prices to come down after the bitcoin bubble, and the Helios 300 allowed me to get a 1060 and 144Hz screen at a competitive price compared to a new desktop. The two drawbacks are obvious: heat management and battery life. Compared to any other similarly priced laptop, this thing sucks down power and dies in 4 hours; its expected and I simply expect to be plugged in if Im using much CPU/GPU. As for heat management, Ive got Throttlestop downvolting the CPU as many in the reviews for this laptop have done, I use fan management software, I have a cooling pad, and I just accept that the fans are going to be loud. Everything else is amazing as advertised: the 144Hz screen with improved color range from previous models, I love the feel of the keyboard and the numpad, the CPU is amazing for any windows tasks and it even has enough RAM to run Chrome.

when you have played around 3 hours, the PC is hot and need a good cooler, I played dota 2 with mid graphics levels and the PC overheats, when played CS GO with mid graphics level, when you have around 1-2hour currently freezing the screen, I need go down the graphics level for game well

Have had laptop for 3 days. Laptop has crashed with critical errors and is restarted. Upon restart, screen says No Bootable Device. Acer recommended to enter BIOS and reset the system settings to default. After doing so, laptop crashes with same problems while I was on hold with Acer.

Es una excelente computadora sin duda, es verdad que se calienta bastante cuando estamos jugando pero si le bajas el brillo la temperatura se reduce considerablemente y a parte si te compras algún ventilador de succión ya ni te preocupas de ello. 100% recomendada
