> 3 dayThe Acer - Predator Triton 500 SE 16 2560x1600 165Hz Laptop with Intel 11th Gen i7 processor, GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and 512GB SSD is an absolute beast! At first glance it seemed boring, bland, straightforward, and very simple, things that a gaming computer shouldnt ever be. The power button was replaced, or so I thought, with a Turbo button and like every kid-at-heart thats been told not to push the red button, I pushed the red button once past the setup process. This Acer Predator Triton 500 SE gaming laptop is amazing. From the moment it started up, I love it. It feels very well built, sturdy and yet thin for a gaming laptop. There are well ventilated sides, but it also looks sleek and yet something youd see in a transformer movie...in a good way. Keyboard: The keyboard works fairly well for gaming, though most purists will likely use an external one anyway. If you will be using it for gaming, I suggest disabling the touch pad otherwise you will inadvertently cause it to trigger (I dont know of a way to do this only while a specific app is running).

> 3 dayThis laptop has exceeded my initial expectations. Able to push 80+ FPS while keeping my GFX settings set high on all games Ive tried thus far (Borderlands 3, Doom Eternal, and FF14).

10-06-2025This computer would continually blue screen at least once a day. From the day I unboxed to the day I returned it. I would not recommend this. It was blue screening from the killer WiFi, from the predator turbo features and from windows hardware issues. It had been completely updated and only had wow installed. Which it could not even run above 60fps on ultra.

> 3 dayFirst off, the battery life doesnt last at all. Maybe 40min off of the charger. The LEDs broke after 3 weeks (i took good care of the laptop). It overheats running anything when plugged in. So either it dies or overheats.

> 3 dayChanging my review, great lap top. I did have a couple issues where the keyboard had stopped working, but then started again. A lot of the letters have been rubbed off due to a lot of use, I bought sticky letters to go over the ones that are gone. Otherwise, the lap top itself has been great.

06-06-2025It has an on-boot feature where it plays this loud sound and does some silly RGB keyboard animation. The sound can be disabled through BIOS and/or the PredatorSense app. The RGB keyboard animation CANNOT. This animation occurs on-boot and whenever the laptop wakes up. This basically ruins the laptop for me.
