> 3 dayI have owned several Acer laptops .... my current one - power cord keeps falling out of laptop slot .... thought it was a fluke (dealt with it for over a year) so finally ordered this one. Plugged it in and once again the power cord that plugs into the computer slot immediately fell out. Returning it was a nightmare .... will never order from this e-seller again and will make sure I deal with only vendors that are shipped from Amazon and not a third party. Amazon wasnt much help either - at first denied a refund of my shipping costs because it was a thrid party but after talking to several customer service reps and sending a picture of the receipt of $14.42 (UPS) they agreed to refund it. The next day they cancelled my refund for shipping as the seller had already allowed $10 for shipping (seller had told me they would not pay for return shipping). In the end I will lose under $5 but the time and frustration of returning a $570+ defective computer will remain in my memory when ordering a different laptop.

> 3 dayI asked for advice on Reddit for what kind of laptop would best suit my usage, and this was by far the most recommended. I am so glad I listened to the advice! I make closed captions for a living, so I am constantly typing and researching. The keys are responsive and the backlighting is nice. I had some concerns about the power buttons placement in the upper right corner where the delete button usually is but I have not had trouble accidentally pressing it like I thought I would. I dislike the layout of the tiny left and right buttons placed right below page up and page down. I am often pressing the wrong button, but this will improve with time.

> 3 dayAn excellent PC laptop at this price. However, two omissions, one truly frustrating, prevents a top rating. Most aggravating: no hardware indication that CAPS LOCK is on! No indicator light. You find out when your repeated password entry attempts fail! Acer thought that a software-based symbol that flashes on the screen for one second would be sufficient. Not only does that not take into account not noticing in time, or forgetting, but it doesnt even work. It did when I first launched the computer, then never again. Tech support guided me to installing something, which brought it back, not not after the next time I started up. My solution is to keep Note Pad on standby to test the keys before entering anything that is case sensitive. I become angry every time!

> 3 dayIts a pretty good pc, from flawless fingerprints, back-lit keys, battery life (depend on usage) to multitasking (8 cores). Ive had no issues so far (not hoping either) also lightweight. I just wished it was a touchscreen but am still happy with it. Recommendable pc.
