> 24 hourLove this product for storing floss. You can see colors, and the separate strands can be stuffed in the bag with the whole strands and are easily pulled out for use. Put on rings, hang on a hook behind a door, and it becomes the perfect way to store floss. Is much better too for kits instead of the paper holes which tangle and tear. Put the colors on a separate ring and youre ready to start a new project!

> 24 hourSturdy bags, Ive never had one rip on me and they close without hassle (unlike the sandwich bags some people are comparing them with). The most hassle free to store floss during a project - you can stuff the floss, the label, and unfinished threads in there, and you dont have to worry about your silks snagging on anything. These bags are sometimes packaged with metal rings - this packaging is without a ring. In any case I prefer to use a cable keyring like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016K7QT8S because it is much lighter and you can get a bunch if you want to file them on rings.

> 24 hourI have been using these bags for years for my floss. They are sturdy and the hole in the corner allows me to use a ring.

> 24 hourI have used these Floss Away baggies for years, theyre the perfect size to store extra skeins of floss, scraps of ribbon or cording, or just about anything small enough to fit inside. The pre-punched hole at the top corner is also handy if you want to store a bunch of floss on a ring.

> 24 hourThe advantage of using a small zip-lock is that you can store all of: thread on a cardboard spool, thread in a skein and loose thread that you have cut but not yet used. This is especially useful for cases where the colours are very similar. I have not tried putting then on a ring, so I cant say how sturdy the set up would be. But even without that, using bags is my preferred technique (toss the colours of your current project in a small box or basket.) I have used the larger type you can buy at the grocery store but even the smallest I could find was larger than these. Tip: you dont need to write on the bag. You can cut a small piece of white cardboard, write the thread number on both sides, and put that in the bag too.

> 24 hourIve never used these with the ring. Its too much trouble, especially when you are stitching a pattern with over 53 threads! As the photo shows, I used a shoe box for this one because of the number of threads. I put a piece of foam board between the bags and used it vertically instead of horizontally. When Im working on a smaller project, I use a small basket, and sometimes I use a plastic drawer insert. Whatever works. You can turn the bags vertically if you want and still see the labels. I happen to be using Anchor threads which is why the labels are large. I purchased some blue labels 1/2 x 3/4 the other day and Im handwriting the DMC colors on them. Hope this helps - dont use the ring!
