> 3 dayAs a new mom I was struggling when swaddling my son. He would always come out of the swaddle! I even started to say my son hated to be swaddled. Until a friend swaddled him and he slept like a baby!!!! She recommended these and it was God send. The blanket is long and light enough that made swaddling easy. Since it its so big, in a way it grows with the baby. Ive been able to swaddle him since he was 2 weeks old and continue to do it now at 4 months (but now we swaddle him with the hands outside). I also used it to cover my son from the sun when we are in the car, as a tummy time blanket and lately (apparently) as a chewing toy as my son loves to sucks on it. One of the best baby gear investments we have made.

> 3 dayI use these swaddle blankets for just about everything; an extra layer, swaddling, cleaning up baby messes, burp cloths, etc. I love how lightweight yet warm they are! I highly recommend them to parents of newborns.

Greater than one weekThese worked well as swaddles during my sons first few weeks. Then he started squirming way more and would get out of these so fast. They’re not stretchy so as long as he fussed long enough he’d get out of them. So now I use them as blankets, covers, etc. I do love them. The only thing is I noticed that the ones I bought here on amazon(animal print) is much thinner than the ones I received from my friend as a baby shower gift(star print). A little weird but okay... still okay for what I use them for.

> 3 dayWhen my first son was born (4 1/2 years ago) I had heard how wonderful these blankets were. I saw the price tag and decided no blanket was worth that. (Yes, I am a know cheapskate, though I prefer the word frugal.) When my third son was soon to be born (4 months ago) my sister in law ordered me one off of eBay. I was semi excited to get one just so I could say I had one, but I was sure it was no big deal. I got it in the mail, washed it and fell in love. I loved how light and airy it felt, I loved that I could throw it over my face and have no issue in breathing, I LOVED how big it was, and I loved how cute it was. I brought it to the hospital with me so I could use it right away. When it comes to swaddling, I am horrible at it. Even watching videos didnt help, but I was capable of swaddling my son in this blanket. When his blanket was in the wash, I hated to use the other blankets and couldnt wait for the dryer to finish. Eventually I got so tired of it that I broke down and bought this pack. I am so glad I did. I have tried a few other muslin blankets, but these are my favorites.

> 3 dayFirst of all, I will say these are great blankets...big, breathable, cute, etc. but if youve read any of the other reviews, you already know all of that. Heres what I wished I had read before I purchased: 1. If you are like me, you have no idea what the heck muslin is. Well, as they say, its a soft breathable cotton. The best way to describe it is like a cotton gauze, much like the material used in burp cloth diapers. The exception is, this is much higher quality, making it stronger than gauze, and its only 1 ply, so its more breathable than a cloth diaper. 2. This listing is confusing, because it mixes up the wraps and the blankets. If you want the larger 47x47 wraps, then go for the ones that have $49.99 listed as the list price. If you want the smaller 42x42, then go for the ones with the list price of $34.99. 3. What is so great about these blankets? I was trying to figure out why everyone was so in love with these things, and heres what Ive deduced...these are MUCH larger than other swaddling blankets, and also much thinner. So, you can wrap your baby up in a nice tight swaddle, with the blanket wrapped completely around them and under their back and they are not too bulky. If you were to have a typical swaddling blanket of the same size, by the time you wrapped up the baby, they probably wouldnt fit in the bassinet, and their head would be 4 inches off the ground. 4. You still have to have swaddling skills. This is not like a swaddleme or sleep sack swaddler. No velcro, no magic. Personally, I am a terrible swaddler and my baby was out of this blanket in 6 minutes flat the first time I used it. But Im getting better. I have no choice, since my rather large 3 month old has outgrown all of the magical swaddling options. All in all though, a nice functional set of blankets. And I have no doubt these will still be getting tons of use while the swaddlemes have long been donated away.

> 3 dayLove this brand and theae designs! The blankets are oversized and are great nursing covers because they are so light weight. We had some for my son and he lived them so much he carried them everywhere. I finally had to replace them when he was 3!

> 3 dayUpdate: After using these for a month, my original prediction was correct. I should have returned these and got my money back because they’re near impossible to use as swaddles. I thought after washing they would get softer, but they have remained scratchy. They stretch out too easily and don’t keep their shape, and I can never get them tight enough to safely swaddle my little one. I stand with my original recommendation — save yourself some money and get the Target swaddles — you’ll get 4 for a third of the price you pay for these and the quality is hands down way better than these. I have to say, for all the rave reviews Ive heard about the aden + anais swaddles, Im incredibly underwhelmed. They are no where near as soft as they portray; my Target and Walmart swaddles are softer then these, and they cost 1/3 of the price. If it werent for the fact that my childs room theme is Harry Potter, and the prints for this theme are few and far between, I would return these. Honestly dont even think Im going to use them as swaddles, probably more like burp rags or play blankets. Not recommended.

> 3 dayOur favorite baby blankets EVER! They are so soft and the fabric is breathable! They are perfect for swaddling but are big enough to be used for toddlers as well. I got many of these for our newborn baby, when they came in my oldest son (3 years old) wanted one and it is now his favorite blanket. I love how they are very durable but lightweight. These are much bigger than most swaddled blankets which keeps the baby from pulling the swaddle apart. When I first saw the price, I was unsure if they would be worth it but they are!!! After I received the first set, I bought more! Aden+Anais classic muslin blankets are a must have!!!!

Greater than one weekWe ordered this based on another review about it being bigger then the one sold at Target. Its true the ones made for Target are several inches smaller. Bigger the better and Ill tell you why. Not only will the extra size grow with your babies rapid growth but it comes in handy for just about everything. Breastfeeding: when my wife breastfeed in public areas it becomes a great cover. Baby stays cool underneath because the material allows air to pass freely through it. Swaddle blanket: it is awesome as a swaddler, our baby like being wrapped tight but she is also on the always hot side of things and once again allowing air to pass through is a plus+++ Its is extremely soft and comfortable so much so that i found myself using it to cover up one day and used it as a pillow many times. I highly reccommend this product. Not to mention as a gift it keeps on giving.
