> 3 dayFirst of all, I will say these are great blankets...big, breathable, cute, etc. but if youve read any of the other reviews, you already know all of that. Heres what I wished I had read before I purchased: 1. If you are like me, you have no idea what the heck muslin is. Well, as they say, its a soft breathable cotton. The best way to describe it is like a cotton gauze, much like the material used in burp cloth diapers. The exception is, this is much higher quality, making it stronger than gauze, and its only 1 ply, so its more breathable than a cloth diaper. 2. This listing is confusing, because it mixes up the wraps and the blankets. If you want the larger 47x47 wraps, then go for the ones that have $49.99 listed as the list price. If you want the smaller 42x42, then go for the ones with the list price of $34.99. 3. What is so great about these blankets? I was trying to figure out why everyone was so in love with these things, and heres what Ive deduced...these are MUCH larger than other swaddling blankets, and also much thinner. So, you can wrap your baby up in a nice tight swaddle, with the blanket wrapped completely around them and under their back and they are not too bulky. If you were to have a typical swaddling blanket of the same size, by the time you wrapped up the baby, they probably wouldnt fit in the bassinet, and their head would be 4 inches off the ground. 4. You still have to have swaddling skills. This is not like a swaddleme or sleep sack swaddler. No velcro, no magic. Personally, I am a terrible swaddler and my baby was out of this blanket in 6 minutes flat the first time I used it. But Im getting better. I have no choice, since my rather large 3 month old has outgrown all of the magical swaddling options. All in all though, a nice functional set of blankets. And I have no doubt these will still be getting tons of use while the swaddlemes have long been donated away.

> 3 dayWe ordered this based on another review about it being bigger then the one sold at Target. Its true the ones made for Target are several inches smaller. Bigger the better and Ill tell you why. Not only will the extra size grow with your babies rapid growth but it comes in handy for just about everything. Breastfeeding: when my wife breastfeed in public areas it becomes a great cover. Baby stays cool underneath because the material allows air to pass freely through it. Swaddle blanket: it is awesome as a swaddler, our baby like being wrapped tight but she is also on the always hot side of things and once again allowing air to pass through is a plus+++ Its is extremely soft and comfortable so much so that i found myself using it to cover up one day and used it as a pillow many times. I highly reccommend this product. Not to mention as a gift it keeps on giving.

> 3 dayPerfect all purpose swaddle blankets! I buy these for pretty much every baby shower I go to. They are large, soft, absorbent. stretchy and work great as swaddles, burp cloths, sun covers, mats, a light blanket, emergency changing pad, anything... Throw it over your car seat when the sun is blazing over the parking lot, and it will keep the seat cool upon your return trip, throw this breathable blanket over your stroller, and give baby some shelter from the sun or help baby take a nap, throw it over your shoulder, and you have a soft burp cloth for babys head, tuck it tightly under a pnp mattress, and you have a last minute, soft and clean travel sheet that smells like home, hang it outside the pnp to keep out the suns morning rays or just hide baby from the distraction of mommy and daddy sleeping close by in the hotel room (this one is a favorite). These are also my favorite swaddle blankets as they are so light and breathable - no worries about overheating, especially for summer babies. They are smushy and take up very little space in a diaper bag, despite their size, and they weigh almost nothing. Just Love Love Love. Oh, and the cheaper ones being sold at Target, BBB and Babies R Us, etc. are not the same. They are still good, I have both, but the quality and softness is just not the same. Also, the cheaper ones are smaller in size.

> 3 dayAs a new mom I was struggling when swaddling my son. He would always come out of the swaddle! I even started to say my son hated to be swaddled. Until a friend swaddled him and he slept like a baby!!!! She recommended these and it was God send. The blanket is long and light enough that made swaddling easy. Since it its so big, in a way it grows with the baby. Ive been able to swaddle him since he was 2 weeks old and continue to do it now at 4 months (but now we swaddle him with the hands outside). I also used it to cover my son from the sun when we are in the car, as a tummy time blanket and lately (apparently) as a chewing toy as my son loves to sucks on it. One of the best baby gear investments we have made.

Greater than one weekWe went a little overboard with our first child back in 2012, and we bought (no joke) six sets, when the price went down from the retail 49 to around 34-35 per box of four blankets. We litter ally use them for everything. We use them as a swaddle, a cover for breastfeeding/pumping, cover on changing pad, cover for public restroom changing tables, stroller cover, infant carrier cover, light blnket to cover our daughters legs when the sun hits .... we use it to cover the boppy when she would be propped up on it... used it in her crib as a crib sheet when she was in the nicu, the neonatologist was amazed at how soft the blankies were..... two years later - they clearly arent used as much but still soft, still used as emergency light blankets that get carried in the backpack for all outings, one in the stroller at all times and one in the car used as a changing pad for when we need to change her diaper in the SUV trunk. none of the blankies have been damaged, or issues of stitching coming out, its almost like the first day we purchased them except tey are softer with all the washes..... we buy them as gifts for friends and family who are expecting as a MUST have item

24-11-2024These blankets are amazing. When you first get them, they dont seem that soft but dont fret, they will soften in the wash a little. However, I like that they are not as soft and slick as the swaddle designs. Because they are a little rougher, they dont shrink nearly as much and are easier to fold. Another benefit to the slight roughness is that your baby stays swaddled. My little one is an escape artist and would never stay swaddled in the swaddle designs but she still hasnt been able to escape a swaddle with these blankets. And the colors are wonderful! Just as bright as the picture. And they have held up to several washings a week.

> 3 dayI use these swaddle blankets for just about everything; an extra layer, swaddling, cleaning up baby messes, burp cloths, etc. I love how lightweight yet warm they are! I highly recommend them to parents of newborns.

> 3 dayWhen I first came across these (at Target) I could not believe the price! 4 little thin blankets for $29.99!! I did not buy them at first, but the next couple of months I kept seeing Moms with these blankets. When I would ask the other Moms about the blankets (mainly venting on how high the price is) 9 times out of 10 the response was It was a gift, but I love them. After reading all the reviews I decided to order a set. I ordered the paparazzi print which matched perfectly with my Chicco Keyfit 30 car seat in Cubes. I liked the size of the blankets and I thought these would be perfect to put over the car seat covering baby but letting air flow through. I was very satisfied with these! After a week or so I ordered a second set. These blankets are perfect for in the house. We mainly got those thick, soft blankets having a winter baby in Colorado. What people didnt realize is my house is 72 degrees inside all year so having a thick blanket would overheat him not to mention the risk of suffocation. These are the only blankets I allow in the crib. They are safe!!! My 2 1/2 year old also loves these blankets. They are big enough for her. They hold up very well. I wash them once a week and I have had them for about 6 months now. P.S. Seventh Generation laundry soap which is easy on clothes. I am only giving them 4 stars because of the price. I think $29.99 is fair and if your not to picky with the print you can get a set for that price. I wish they where all the same price. I really like the Liam the Brave print but I cant justify spending $20 more!! Muslin is cheap so I can only imagine the mark up in these.

> 3 dayThese blankets, plus the rocknplay, caused me to actually get enough sleep when I had a 2 year old and a newborn! I didnt want to worry about baby overheating, so I would lay this blanket in the rocknplay, then lay baby down, then wrap the blanket around him and tuck the sides in. It wasnt a true swaddle, but still kept him covered (just from the waist down), and he felt comfortably tucked in. He slept really well with this combination. I like that these arent heavy like flannel or fleece blankets, and they are not too warm. I find that they are big enough that they still cover my 3.5 year old if he wants to sleep with a light blanket. And they still look as good as new after many washings, for 2 years straight.
