I use these to secure cabinets where the magnet type doesn’t work. When they’re higher up they work really well (like keeping the doors of a wardrobe closed). When they’re at the baby’s eye level they’re not quite as effective. My 14 month old was able to break one after yanking on it for a few minutes. However the company offers a 12 month warranty and they reached out to replace it! And in their defense I think he’s particularly Strong and stubborn. The magnet style are definitely preferable but these work as a good alternative when they won’t or when you don’t want a permanent baby proofing solution.

Just received them and they were super easy to install and remove from cupboards. I feel like $11 is a bit pricey for 4 pieces of plastic, but if they work and keep my daughter safe, that’s ok with me. Measure how far your handles are from each other; the one under my sink seems to be a bit more spread apart than my other cupboard handles so it almost didn’t fit, as seen in the first picture. The cupboards still open a bit, also seen in the picture but I don’t foresee that as an issue since it’s a pretty small gap.

My 10-month-old is strong and he has tried to open cabinets with no luck. The sliding locks get his attention and plays with them, giving me a couple of minutes to get what I need in the kitchen done. They are easy to install and take off when Im in the kitchen cooking. No installation time, tools, or setting time like other (inside locks), which btw my son ripped right off. Im no bother with the fact you can see them, no big deal since it keeps my baby safe and after all, its only temporary.

Not long enough. I didn’t measure before hand though. My husband made them work by trimming back the plastic.

For some reason our grown cats have become obsessed with getting into the cabinets AFTER we installed closet door slides to keep them out of them. This morning was hilarious when the Rain Man cat ran into the kitchen to open the cabinet and chew on plastic, and he looked up , saw the locks and then he looked like a deflated balloon. He is older but for some reason started his morning routine looking for plastic. Once the thrill is gone we will try removing them, but they are easy to use, not too difficult to remove, and work exactly as we needed them for.

Good value, easy to install to maintain cabinet security. Unfortunately, these did not fit my cabinets with raised trim. The latch would not engage securely behind the door knobs and above trim. Item returned.

Love love love these! My cute 2yo just loved getting into the cupboards to pull out pans/appliances/food. (R.I.P mr.coffee machine). With these cabinet locks he hasn’t been able to cause as much mischief (at least in the kitchen cupboards). Super easy to put on and take off.

I needed something to keep my side-by-side fridge/freezer closed because my toddler always opens the freezer to sneak ice cream/popsicles and has left the door(s) open on several occasions. The very first time I put the lock on the door handles, my toddler comes in and somehow pulls it off and opens the freezer. Um, okay. I wondered if maybe it was defective but I tried it out and It still worked. After some trial and error, I figured out that I just have to place it higher on the handles where my toddler cant reach and he has yet to open the freezer. I still use it and it works, just dont let your toddler handle it because somehow, theyll figure out a way to undo it.

As renters with a very curious baby (who I swear has 8 arms), these cabinet locks are amazing. Theyre very simple to use, and such a great value. I dont really have anything to compare to, but the two pieces separate and slide together nicely. Bought one pack initially to try them out, and immediately purchased another. Highly recommend!

This item is listed as 9.7 inches long. The item is actually 7 and 1/8 inches long. That makes a big difference when you are trying to buy something that will fit your cabinets. The design is fine, they seem sturdy enough and are easy to use BUT fix that listing so folks wont buy these, thinking they will work only to find they are too short.
