Greater than one weekDefinitely recommend. We purchased the magnet locks previously, but never got around to doing the installation. A friend gave us a couple of these locks a few years ago and I realized how much more convenient they are. They do not work for all cabinets as two knobs/handles have to be close together; however, we focused on using them on cabinets where we store more dangerous items (i.e., cleaning products under the kitchen sink, etc). We also have a baby gate that our toddler has figured out how to open - this lock works in a pinch to keep the gate locked.

> 3 dayI am surprised at some of the bad reviews. These locks are great. They are wide enough but can be shortened easily. Very easy to put on and take off. The baby will not be able to figure it out because it requires use of two fingers simultaneously as you slide it down. So nice to keep my kitchen cabinets safe or I should say my child safe!

> 3 dayI seam to use it more to keep the cat out the cubbies than I do the kids but it works great. Super cheap and mega easy to install.

> 3 dayI loved the simplicity of the handle locks, however after 14 months two are cracking making it impossible to use any longer. I expected them to last longer.

> 3 dayBest locks yet! I have a 4 year old and 18 month old they both like to dig into the cabinets and I have child proof locks that arent working obviously so I had to get new ones. I love this brand so I thought why not try their locks since I bought the mattress protector and love it. These locks are made sturdy they dont feel like those flimsy cheap kind of plastic. My kids cant manipulate these and now can not get into everything. Totally recommend these for any parent whos trying to keep their children out of everything they arent supposed to touch!

> 3 dayIf you do buy them make sure your handles are really close together. No more then 3 inches apart.

> 3 dayMy kiddo is always into kitchen cabinets. These were great for my cabinets that had more than one handle. Looping these around the handles took care of it. It was even a struggle for my 9 year old to open! Great for keeping kids out of things you dont want them into.

> 3 dayWe actually used these for the cabinets so my 9-year old wouldnt get into all the snacks. Hoping the lock would at least deter her!! They were super easy to take on and a bit difficult to remove which was a good thing! We tried other methods in the past to get snacks locked up, and this was the easiest solution we found.

> 3 dayI have a tuxedo cat that likes to get into the trash in the cabinet under the sink & he also broke the food bin, so we put that in a cabinet & weve had to actually put chairs in front of the 2 cabinets to keep him out. I cant have children, so my 3 cats mean everything to me. Hes a darling boy, incredibly loving, but absolutely ravenous & if he had his way, hed break into the food bin, rip open the food bag & eat to his hearts content. Many of food bags he has torn open. As I mentioned, he also likes to get into the trash. I had about enough of this behavior, so I purchased these locks. Very easy to install & open (for a human, that is). He tried for about 5 minutes & gave up. He hasnt tried again since. Hes a smart guy. He knows when hes been beat. So yeah, game over for him.
