Amazon Basics 3 Speed Box Fan, 20-Inch

Bought it for noise during sleep for my husband. It’s lightweight which is nice, but it is really quiet. We’ll probably be returning it.

I bought this particular fan based on an Amazon review. I was under the impression that it was loud, it is not loud. In fact, on the highest setting you can barely hear it. I wanted it to drown out the noise at night so that I could sleep better. If you are looking for a loud fan, this is not it.

The air flow is pretty good

Move a lot of air. I have had this fan for almost a year now and so far it has been good the quality isnt anything to brag about but it gets the job done.

With five fan blades, the unit delivers cooling air equal to a Vornado, without the extra $$$. Fits most windows and works just as well as a mobile unit.

At a certain price point all box fans are basically the same. They’re loud, they rattle, they tip over, they don’t push as much as you want them to even on high. I don’t know how but this box fan has none of those problems! It’s significantly quieter than other box fans even on it’s highest setting. The frame and safety covers are a two piece instead of three piece, and they are fitted… which means no rattling. The feet prevent it from tipping over. And the way the weight is disbursed means it doesn’t shake and tip over. Oh and it mooooooves air even on the lowest setting. I’m a skeptic, I’m pessimistic, I am pleasantly surprised I’m. I’m also going to get a second one.

As with most box fans the only thing I dont like is the feet dont seem all that sturdy, especially on carpet. I have it sitting on a windowsill and it works but the length of the feet keep it from sitting as securely as Id like. Its super light, which is great but unfortunately the lack of weight and its rounded edges mean I cant discard the feet or turn it on its side because itll just wobble and fall over. All fan speeds seem to be decently quiet and push a good amount of air. It looks pretty nice.

The only thing I dont know about this is how long it will last. It is ideal for my house and my weather. I dont have air conditioning and this fan keeps me cool--as cool is it can, which is fine. I like the way it looks and its settings give me the air flow I need. It may be basic but its just right.

Not verify powerful at all. Moves very little air.

I bought this for white noise, but it was very quiet. The fan worked well, but not what I needed.
