Amazon Basics 3 Speed Box Fan, 20-Inch

We hit some extremely hot days so an fan was needed to replace my now non-working one. I chose his one honestly mostly out of frustration. The box fan is about 90% plastic except for I guess the motor . Making it VERY lightweight and fairly quiet.3 fan speeds all move the air well, the highest speed is where I generally keep it except at night when I sleep. For my small studio apartment it serves me well. Only negatives are the lightweight construction -the feet are about 6 1/2 inch plastic snap-on pieces which doesnt balance the fan well tipping over is a common problem. That coupled with the bad design decision of running the power cord out of the top rear corner adds to the problem. This is an okay fan I guess for maybe workshops, teens rooms but definitely not for hardcore heat situations. As far as cost its definitely not worth the money I paid for it.

I had this fan for 5 days and I brushed up against it while vacuuming and it tip backwards, leaning against the couch and slowly slid down to the go floor. It barely made any noise. I picked it right back up and one of the fan blades broke off. What da heck? What a waste of money

Me hubiese gustado q echara y poco más de aire ,pero es ideal para cuando no hace tanto calor ,o si tienes un aire central y solo quieres refrescar .

This fan isnt strong enough. Hi is low and low is lower. Not like the box fan you can feel it across the room.My baby need a fan so l am stuck with it until l can go out and get one. Not worth $40. Walmart as them cheap and better one.. save your money.

This review is for the all plastic 20 inch three speed box fan. I see Amazon is stealing reviews from a small circular fan and applying them to this thing to make it look like it has more reviews. 20 Inch box fans get me through the summer months where the AC is maxed out and can just take the edge off. So I have had quite a few box fans. This one is not horrible, but the max speed is what Im used to for low speed in 20 inch box fans. There is no reason to ever use another setting. Given the weak nature of the motor Im not expecting this to last. Should be considered a disposable fan. What you get it is a slightly overpriced, very cheaply made, very weak fan.

You get what you pay for- not a high output fan, but it moves the air around enough

We got about 6 months out of this fan before it started squeaking like crazy. I cleaned the fan every month or so with compressed air to get all the dust out (like I do with all our fans). I have a basic box fan from Walmart for less money that has lasted years.
