Amazon Basics 3 Speed Box Fan, 20-Inch

With 44k reviews, you dont really need another, but I am writing this for anyone searching for Corsi-Rosenthal box fans, aka CR box fans. I have purchased 3 different fans at different times, searching for the best one to make a CR box. I honestly did not want to like this one the most. Does this company need my financial support? No. But if you are dealing with smoke, allergens, and/or Covid 19, you want to make a CR box, and you want it to be as quiet as possible. You really dont think about how quiet a fan is until its in the room with you and youre trying to have a conversation! This is the fan you need. Its not too rounded to make the box not work, and its got enough coverage of the non-fan areas to not have to bother with making a collar for it to fix the air flow. I lent out the CR box that I made with this fan to a friend who got covid and wants to keep her husband from catching it too. They are isolating, but this keeps the viral load in the air WAY down. anyway, thats why Im buying another one today. Oh, and we also find it clears the air very quickly if we forget something on the stove! Works vastly better than the fan over the stove. But of course, that does make the filters smell.

This fan isnt strong enough. Hi is low and low is lower. Not like the box fan you can feel it across the room.My baby need a fan so l am stuck with it until l can go out and get one. Not worth $40. Walmart as them cheap and better one.. save your money.

The only thing I dont know about this is how long it will last. It is ideal for my house and my weather. I dont have air conditioning and this fan keeps me cool--as cool is it can, which is fine. I like the way it looks and its settings give me the air flow I need. It may be basic but its just right.

The handles are built into the frame making it awkward to carry. The feet add a bit of size making it larger than a standard box fan. It has a curved top so it doesnt fit snug in windows etc... Would not buy again.

I use a box fan at night for white noise. My previous one just died on me so I selected this one to replace it. I have had it for just over a week now and am really pleased with it. At higher speeds, it moves the air well but at its lowest speed it provides just the right amount of background noise. My old fan was too loud at its lowest speed and that was disruptive to my sleep but this fan is neither too loud nor too quiet. I am very satisfied to this point with this product. It also stands more solidly than the old one did. It arrived quickly, on time, and in good condition. Thank you!

I bought both fan the 20 inch and 11 inch and for some reason I feel the 11 inch blows stronger than the 20 inch but both good fans are a great value too

Its inexpensive, and strong-I $aved alot of $$ by CREATING my OWN Air Purifier: i bought MERV-13 20 x20 x1 air filters, and BLU Painters tape (no sticky residue when removed) and TAPED the AIR FILTER to the intake side of the fan. Now not only is mt house COOLER, its EASIER TO BREATHE since the STUFF I DONT need to inhale is TRAPPED! Total cost for 3 months of healthy, moving air=552.30 (Fan $36.89, Filter $10.92, Tape $4.49) and then only $10.92 each 3 months afterwards (change to a new filter) Compare THAT to commercial purifiers--andd this is PORTABLE. # Speed AND STYLISH! I STRONGLY RECCOMMEND THIS!
