Amazon Basics 3 Speed Box Fan, 20-Inch

Its inexpensive, and strong-I $aved alot of $$ by CREATING my OWN Air Purifier: i bought MERV-13 20 x20 x1 air filters, and BLU Painters tape (no sticky residue when removed) and TAPED the AIR FILTER to the intake side of the fan. Now not only is mt house COOLER, its EASIER TO BREATHE since the STUFF I DONT need to inhale is TRAPPED! Total cost for 3 months of healthy, moving air=552.30 (Fan $36.89, Filter $10.92, Tape $4.49) and then only $10.92 each 3 months afterwards (change to a new filter) Compare THAT to commercial purifiers--andd this is PORTABLE. # Speed AND STYLISH! I STRONGLY RECCOMMEND THIS!

Very, very quiet and low powered. I got this for ambient noise but the output is ridiculously low. At double the price of any regular box fan, I really expected more, but it turned out to be just another disappointment.

If you are in the market for an inexpensive box fan that screeches like an eagle snatching salmon upstream, then look no further! Bought two in May. Threw them both away within 6 months. Not a great buy, but maybe youll have more luck than I did.

Do not like. Noisy and CHEAP feeling.

We use it for my daughters AirFort and it does it’s job.

We purchased this box fan to help circulate air conditioned air throughout our RV. On high speed we can feel it blowing air for about 14 feet. It blows almost constantly every day throughout this summer heat. It is not as noisy as metal box fans, and I do not think that its motor is quite as strong as the fans from my childhood made in the USA. However, this fan has taken some spills, run a LOT, and is doing a great job. I like that it is light weight and easily portable. You will need to attach its two feet on the bottom of the fan -- very easy to do. I do recommend this fan, and yes I would purchase it again.

This review is for the all plastic 20 inch three speed box fan. I see Amazon is stealing reviews from a small circular fan and applying them to this thing to make it look like it has more reviews. 20 Inch box fans get me through the summer months where the AC is maxed out and can just take the edge off. So I have had quite a few box fans. This one is not horrible, but the max speed is what Im used to for low speed in 20 inch box fans. There is no reason to ever use another setting. Given the weak nature of the motor Im not expecting this to last. Should be considered a disposable fan. What you get it is a slightly overpriced, very cheaply made, very weak fan.

Well, its an Amazon Fan. I dont expect fans to take abuse, but this one had been used probably no more than 6 times in the 3 months in a guest bedroom. Today, one accidental knock over by my wife while the fan was running, a blade cracked and broke off. Not overly durable. Shrug.

Not fancy, just a good fan at a good price. Cools a medium sized room very well.
