Amazon Basics 3 Speed Box Fan, 20-Inch

We got about 6 months out of this fan before it started squeaking like crazy. I cleaned the fan every month or so with compressed air to get all the dust out (like I do with all our fans). I have a basic box fan from Walmart for less money that has lasted years.

This a great product for the money. They should work on reducing the noise. It can be used in a big living room.

One blade was broken

I finally found a fan that has just the right amount of noise. I have tinnitus in my right ear and Ive gone through SO many fans. I buy them, I give then away. Every fan always has some click or noise quirk that makes my tinnitus worse. This fan has a solid, sound of air. Just the sound of air and no mechanical/machine sound. Its perfect on all 3 speeds. I actually came on here to order another one, but it says currently unavailable. Ill wait until its available before I buy another one. Also, I like the black color. And the legs are better than other fans. They are wide and screw in so its sturdy. The grip handle is good design as well.

The Amazon box fan is good but I thought it was going to blow harder for like 50 bucks.

Started squeaking after a week. Still squeaks occasionally despite a deep cleaning. I don’t recommend it. The Hurricane box fan has been holding up though. Spend the extra unless this is for a space you’re not regularly in or a garage where the ambient sound level is higher.

to begin needed it for circulation in the shop as a quick fix so it works well for that purposes after may put in a bag sealed and set on the shelf if you use on any hard or slick surfaces at higher speeds it will tip over no big had some weights that worked perfectly or used the door frame started warming up again and pulled it out worked fine for the couple hours a day I used it until the 6th day were the motor seized noticed a little dust on the fan blades so attempted to clean. well this is not ment to be cleaned at all the housing comes of with the 8 Philips head screws however the blade is form fitted and the retention nut more for show as the plastics seem factory fussed together over all worked well for a one time shop use and would likely work well for a clean home without environmental factors

Were very impressed with this fan. Despite its slim profile, its very stable, and generates a good and quiet air flow. And because of its slim design, it takes up less space than most other 20 fans, and costs less.

Its a box fan that does box fan stuff. Plug it in and turn it on and air moves. A miracle of modern science. Pro tip: if you need the air to blow in a different direction, simply turn the fan in that direction.

You get what you pay for- not a high output fan, but it moves the air around enough
