Amazon Basics 3 Speed Box Fan, 20-Inch

This baby can crank the cool air across a big room! It has 3 fan speeds of low, medium, and high. The lowest speed is more than enough for a large room. The only downside is it is loud. I would still buy another one cause it works so well.

Bought it for noise during sleep for my husband. It’s lightweight which is nice, but it is really quiet. We’ll probably be returning it.

We hit some extremely hot days so an fan was needed to replace my now non-working one. I chose his one honestly mostly out of frustration. The box fan is about 90% plastic except for I guess the motor . Making it VERY lightweight and fairly quiet.3 fan speeds all move the air well, the highest speed is where I generally keep it except at night when I sleep. For my small studio apartment it serves me well. Only negatives are the lightweight construction -the feet are about 6 1/2 inch plastic snap-on pieces which doesnt balance the fan well tipping over is a common problem. That coupled with the bad design decision of running the power cord out of the top rear corner adds to the problem. This is an okay fan I guess for maybe workshops, teens rooms but definitely not for hardcore heat situations. As far as cost its definitely not worth the money I paid for it.

A little noisy. Very light weight, and good value. Down side it will be hard to clean. I will order another soon.

We got about 6 months out of this fan before it started squeaking like crazy. I cleaned the fan every month or so with compressed air to get all the dust out (like I do with all our fans). I have a basic box fan from Walmart for less money that has lasted years.

You get what you pay for- not a high output fan, but it moves the air around enough

So, the biggest worry I have for window fans is the noise. This thing isnt silent, but it is much quieter than the standard window fan. It is also very powerful - even on the lowest setting. That was unexpected. On the one hand, this is great because I get too hot to sleep during the summer. On the other hand, I am very aware that there is a fan blowing on me. If youre sensitive to that sort of thing (as I am), you might actually prefer a lower power fan. I like the design. I think the handle is built into the fan box itself, and it looks like the cord is placed better inside the fan box. Overall, its was a cheap little purchase to replace our 15 yr old Lasko fan. This little guy probably wont last as long, which is a shame, but I havent had it that long yet. Who knows?

We purchased this box fan to help circulate air conditioned air throughout our RV. On high speed we can feel it blowing air for about 14 feet. It blows almost constantly every day throughout this summer heat. It is not as noisy as metal box fans, and I do not think that its motor is quite as strong as the fans from my childhood made in the USA. However, this fan has taken some spills, run a LOT, and is doing a great job. I like that it is light weight and easily portable. You will need to attach its two feet on the bottom of the fan -- very easy to do. I do recommend this fan, and yes I would purchase it again.

It is very lightweight and no metal to worry about sharp edges . Little pricey .

Very impressed it has kept my room cool so far
