Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

It is a nice case but it is a little tight.

Basic case, looks good, holds WD My Passport Ultra and usb cord nicely. Not really padded, more for keeping it clean and slipping inside larger bag/backpack.

Great case for my GFs WD Elements portable HDD that I purchased for her to back up her media. The case was much better than I expected with the hard shell and semi-soft interior. The elastic band holds the HDD securely while the mesh pouch on the opposite sides holds the USB 3.0 cable nicely. I would recommend this to anyone who gets the Elements HDD because it does not include a case with the purchase.

I was honestly expecting the build quality to be better, the material is very thin and the zipper is super low quality, I was scared of breaking it and still am.

Although I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews on here, I decided to purchase this case anyway and judge for myself. I sure am glad that I did, cause I think it is perfect. My WD passport 1TB portable external hard drive fits in it perfectly, there is ample room for a cable, and I also carry 2-3 flash drives in it too. While I wouldnt necessarily through this thing from my 20th floor window and think that it would protect my portable drive, I am certainly very comfortable throwing it in my pocketbook, briefcase, etc., without worrying that it will get damaged. Unlike other people who have written about drop tests, I have not opted to intentionally throw this case, housing my drive, onto a wood or stone floor to see what will happen. All I can say is that this case has protected my drive beautifully and I have absolutely no complaints. Id recommend it.

Slick, solid. Whats not to like. Easily fits your HD and cord and you can tell its well made.

This case perfectly fits two WD 1TB Ultra Passport or Elements drives and is much nicer quality than the soft shell official WD passport case. The only part I dont like is the zipper pull is too rubbery and should be harder, but it is easy enough to cut off and replace. (The orange material is a durable fabric, not exposed foam.)

This has a harder shell than most cases! Fits a Seagate 1TB hard drive perfectly, with room for the Y cable and USB.
