Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

This case is very sturdy and extremely well made, and fits my My Passport external hard drive for Mac perfectly, and also has room for the cable and instruction booklet. Love it!

Nice way to protect and carry my back up hard drive with. The elastic bands inside hold the cables well, and the netted sleeve words the hard drive.So glad I made this purchase!

As expected. Does the job of protecting my external disc

This handy protective case does exactly what it purports to do - it safely stores a portable hard drive (in my case, a Seagate Portable Drive P/N 2N1AP5-500), along with a netted area to store the hard drive USB cable. It is a hard plastic case, with a thin fabric layer on top, closed with a zipper. If you want to protect your portable hard drive, this should do the trick nicely (although you should check the dimensions to ensure that it fits your drive - in my case, it fits the Seagate perfectly).

The inside has a mesh pocket and an elastic band. The case is pretty tough. Well worth the purchase to protect your HD. I believe this case may also work or fit for other 2.5inch portable hard drives.

I have purchased several of these type products for my electronics. The look of the Amazon Basics is nice. The zipper is sturdy and is easy to zip or unzip. The inside is padded well and I like the orange fabric inside (usually you find black fabric) so it makes it easy to see what is inside the case. Overall the product seems to be well made and my external harddrive fits well including the cords that come with it. My 4 stars is because it is not a hard case like others I have purchased. Most of the others I have the case is hard so it wont crush easily. Amazons is kind of soft-sided, so I can easily push down on it and feel it crush. This is a bit disappointing as I feel safer with the harder cases especially if I have to travel. But the case does offer better protection than nothing at all or putting in a plastic baggie or other alternatives. It also keeps things looking better organized than anything else I have found so far. Inside there is a velcro strap to keep the harddrive in place so it doesnt move around and a mesh pouch to hold the cords and other items securely. The price is good and I really dont have any complaints. I do have a suggestion though. It would be great to have a place to put a tag on them so you can tell what is in the case without opening it. I have so many of these now that I dont remember what is in which bag (plus almost all the cases are black on the outside) I may have to find some tags to attach to the zipper.
