Amazon Basics External Hard Drive Portable Carrying Case

I bought two of these for the new 2TB WD Passport drives I acquired recently. These cases are perfect for that drive, but if you have a drive that is larger than the Passport, it might not fit. So be sure to look at the measurements carefully before you order one if you are planning to use it for something besides a Passport.

The case itself is fine, it is of solid construction and will protect your device if you drop it, however this case is meant for My Passport products. If you already have a hard drive measure twice, it needs to be more than a little smaller than the case, the inside has a webbing side and a side with an elastic band for cables, its a good case but make sure our hard drive will fit in it.

Got this case and it would have been perfect for my WD My Passport Essential SE, except that the interior of the case stinks. I wish someone had mentioned that in their review. There is also an AmazonBasics case for GPSs and a dozen reviews mentioned the putrid stench. Wish I read those first before considering this similar case. Now if the smell is due to the synthetic fibers, maybe its okay. But if its due to formaldehyde or some other dangerous chemicals then the risk of cancer is not worth the price of this case. Those unscrupulous Chinese factories need to be regulated badly.

It is ok for my passport WD; the disk stay well protected and you can store the cable and a couple of USB keys too.

This case is 4.72 x 3.66, compact enough to throw in a backpack, daypack, or purse.

I got this for my emergency OmniPod 5 kit. Holds 1 spare pump, a vial of insulin, swabs and a couple backup syringes (not shown in pic). Great little case to keep with you in case of emergency issues. You might be able to get 2 pumps in it w/o the vial but I haven’t tried it because I don’t see the point of that configuration.

Fit my external drive (Toshiba Canvio Connect II) perfectly and includes a spot to store the USB cable. Was affordable, and appears to be very well made.

This is a perfect fit for the SD portable hard drive. Definitely will protect the hard drive from drops and water and also roomy enough to store the cable. Small and good looking.
