Yes, the new style WD My Passport drives fit. Heres a 4TB drive. The drive fits comfortably, but anything larger wouldnt. This is a quality protective case, though not heavily padded, but that would add additional thickness and make it less suiting to my needs.

Inexpensive hard case that fits the 2TB WD My Passport Ultra just fine with room for USB cable perfectly. What more can you ask for at that price. Sometimes you luck out and get more than you paid for.
