22-11-2024This is a great, reasonably-priced fan. Very quiet. Fairly easy to assemble. Base is quite large and you cannot really adjust the height but this provide good air circulation.

> 3 dayFirst off, an amazing fan! Not gonna bore you with features and abilities--every thing in the description and more! The more? Took an all thumbs handy man less than 5 min to understand another 4 or so to hook er up and now chillin under the most refreshing, cooling wind gush you wouldnt believe (turned off the energy gobblin AC)! Ordered on the 16th arrived half-hour ago on the 19th --day later than offered, but hey 3 das. no worry! Now buckle up: was 55 bucks or order day, checked next day price has rocked to 85 Bucks! The one time I fought off the think-about-its it paid off big time. Your move.

> 3 dayThis fan exceeds my expectations so far. Very simple to put together and has many options. Blows great air and is very quiet. The white blends in well with the white walls. It feels heavy duty and so easy to control. I love it and I’m very impressed.

> 3 dayI bought both AmazonBasics Oscillating Dual Blade Standing Pedestal Fan and PELONIS DC motor Ultra Quiet Pedestal (FS40-19PRD) within 2 months. Here are what my experiences of them: (1) The DC motors for both fans are super quiet. (2) The oscillating mechanism are both noticeably noisy. There is no difference even after I added lubricant oil. Its not too much a noise. Maybe the motor is super quiet, so make the oscillation is noticeably noisy. (3) The AmazonBasics fan does not have memory of your setting. Therefore, once you turn it off and turn it back on, it will always start at speed 18. Settings like oscillations are gone too. On the contrary, PELONIS has memory and retains the previous settings. (4) The PELONIS fan does not have the speed up and down button. There is only one speed button (on both the remote and the fan itself) that can go up only. If you want to adjust the speed one notch down, you need to go through the entire cycle to get to the lower speed you want. AmazonBasics fan has both up and down buttons. (5) The speed does not work with press-and-hold for both fans. You need to keep pressing until you reach the wind speed you want. (6) AmazonBasics fan has 24 speeds and PELONIS has 12 speeds. Most speeds are with little difference. However, Im quite sensitive to the wind speed and I have the fan standing close-by. I find AmazonBasics 24 speeds are slightly better because I can fine tune to the exact speed that I want. (7) I have a hard time to make PELONIS fan to stand up straight. Even I adjust it straight today, it will tilt again a few days later. AmazonBasics fan can stand up straight. (8) AmazonBasics fan wobbles a little when oscillating. PELONIS fan does not have this problem. However, the wobble of AmazonBasics fan is barely noticeable and has no functional impact. (9) AmazonBasics fan has 2 blades but I found no noticeable different from PELONIS fan with single blade. (10) When I bought the 2 fans, AmazonBasics fan was slightly cheaper. But when I wrote this review, the opposite happened. The price difference was within $10. (11) Both fans oscillate with wide angle. You cannot adjust the oscillating angle. Overall, both fans are very good and with areas that can be further improved. The DC motor is definitely the number one buying point (quiet, energy efficient, with more than 10 speed capability). The remote is handy and you can easily be indulged with the laziness. We have been using both fans every day, several hours a day for about 3 months. Both fans hold up every well. For comparison purpose, I like AmazonBasics fan more than PELONIS fan with a narrow margin. It probably wont go wrong with most people to choose either fan though.

> 3 dayI love this fan! It has a feature that simulates a breeze where it speeds up and down gently. It’s very quiet. Worth the money!
