Greater than one weekScrew the little fan on COUNTERclockwise. Also, find the base screw at the base of the main segment. Im a tech writer, so my only complaints are about the instructions. They should have hired a professional tech writer to write the instructions. They didnt. As they are, the assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. Ok, mea culpa, I didnt read the instructions quite close enough, but attention should have been given to stressing counterclockwise. And we should have been instructed where to find the base screw. Also, we should have been instructed to bring a phillips-head screwdriver to assembly. I believe that Im going to really like this fan a lot. Great look, great features. I recommend that Amazon hire a true professional to improve the assembly instructions - a short, cheap, smart step that will help Amazon customers to avoid such a simple step as screwing something on the wrong way. Also, the functions of the remote could be much better explained. I had to experiment with the remote to understand what did what. Addendum: This fan is great. It has 12 speeds and they are very easy to move up and down. The control panel on the fan lights up when you make changes, then it goes dark. It has memory; it remembers your settings when you turn it off. (Just dont unplug it.) Height and tilt are easily adjustable. And...at a great price.

> 3 dayMaybe I got a dud, but mine makes a clicking noise around midway as it oscillates. Also, at the very edges of the movement, there is a bit of a grinding/fan wobble noise. This is only audible on speeds less than 4. I will get a replacement, and see how it works out before writing a final review. EDIT: after replacement The replacement fixed the click, but the noise when the fan is set to oscillate is still there. If you keep it fixed (turn off left-right oscillation) then it works very well. But if you want it to oscillate, its actually noisier than other cheaper fans. Feels like it goes out of balance towards the edge of the oscillation. Im maintaining the rating. You may not care as much about the oscillation.

> 3 dayI had the fan out of the box and noticed it had a crack in the base. I put it together to see if it was worth keeping anyway. The thought of packing it back up and hauling it down to Whole Foods seemed like a nightmare. You need a screw driver to put it together, wasn’t thrilled about that. It is not the greatest quality but still had some features that outweighed the hassle of sending it back. We f get had to do it again, wouldn’t order it. It has a neat power dial that I like. It doesn’t have the good white noise, it is too quiet but I have another, smaller fan to help with that. Honestly, IMO, Amazon just keeps getting worse.

Greater than one weekExtremely quiet, I absolutely love the natural fan mode. That is a mode where is a fan it gets stronger and weaker to make it more like a natural breeze. May be hard to explain but I love it. Remote control works really well you don’t have to be facing the fan to get it to work, I have already purchased two more.

23-11-2024Love this fan! Easy to put together, easy to use! The lights on the front even go out as to not keep you awake at night. This solid fan puts off a lot of air and is heavy enough to sit on plush carpet!

> 3 dayI love the different speeds you can set it to, it can give a very light breeze or a very strong one, whichever you prefer. It’s sturdy, doesn’t take up too much space, and very easy to put together.

> 3 dayMy husband has to have a fan on at night. I is like a furnace when he sleeps. I have misophonia and hyperaccusis; this fan does not bother me at all. I love that it has a remote because my husband is injured and it allows him to adjust it without having to get up or call for someone.
