There is a shortage of chips. Problem ordering via mail, is that you dont always know which part is bad. One bad part can ruin an entire build. Trying to figure out which part is defective is a pain. In the end, I returned it and ordered a complete desktop system.

I disabled Core Performance Boost for now to make sure that everything is stable. CPU has fixed 3.6 Ghz. Case fans (two of them) have constant speed at 780 RPM.

AMD is taking the market by storm with these Ryzen chipsets. Theyre overall great chips for the money youd spend being between 100$ or more cheaper than the comparable intel chips. Yes IPC is still slower than intel but its able to run most games at high settings without an overclock on it. I would recommend stepping up to the new 3000 series but if youre strapped for cash and want a new system without smashing your piggy bank open, Ryzen is probably for you. Dont get me wrong a build will still set you back about 900$ (without peripherals) but comparably to an intel build or a mobile platform youre spending significantly less without giving up much for performance.

I picked this CPU up for my new build and loved it. Handles overclocks easily and doesnt get too hot when paired with a liquid cooler. I am currently running the CPU at 3.9 GHz and it handles it without an issue, I might take it to 4.0, but havent decided yet.

Este procesador es realmente bueno, se trata de un procesador de segunda generación de Ryzen con arquitectura Zen +, capaz de llegar a 4.2 GHZ (Nunca los he visto) en uno o dos núcleos, lo mejor de todo es su solución térmica ya que viene con el disipador Wraith Spire, el cual mantiene a 70° al procesador bajo carga (100%).
