> 3 daywhen I opened the ryzen 5 2600x box the plastic on the bottom of the fan was shattered. Part of the plastic was stuck to the underside of the cooling fan. Some of the thermal paste was missing on the bottom of the fan. The outside of the box did not looked damaged at all, luckily I ordered thermal paste so I will clean it off and apply new paste. The physical parts inside the box did not look damaged so hopefully everything will work. will update. The only reason for 4 stars is the fact thatsome thermal paste was missing and shattered plastic stuck to the thermal paste.

> 3 dayGreat value. I’ve been using it since it was released and I’ve had no problems. Still runs all games at 60+ FPS easily. And I all competitive games 100+ FPS on max settings 1440p, including call of duty.

Greater than one weekWhen AMD released Ryzen last year, it was a huge disruption to Intels grasp on the hardware market as they brought 6 and 8 core processors to the mainstream consumer for the first time. With their second generation (not to be confused with the upcoming sub 10nm Ryzen 2) AMD managed to improve the only thing lagging them behind Intel: individual core performance. With a base clock of 3.6GHz and boost clock of 4.2GHz (not to mention each chip comes unlocked for overclocking potential), AMD and Intel are finally neck and neck for the first time since Bulldozer. So discussing processors themselves is, in itself, somewhat futile. In my opinion, you, the consumer, should stick with AMD for their much more consumer friendly practices. More specifically, AMD has committed to supporting the AM4 socket through 2021 meaning that a gen1 Ryzen board will support processors that come out through the next few generations as opposed to having to upgrade motherboards even if the difference in generations is minute at best (Looking at you, coffee lake). Thank you, AMD.

> 3 dayOverclocked pretty good. Stable. Think Ive had 1 crash since I bought it and that was my fault for pushing the clock too far. Very solid cpu even with out overclocking. Phenomenal for the price.

> 3 dayNow that the third gen came out, this is a steal for the money. Unfortunately I bought it a month before 3rd gen came out so I missed out. It isnt as powerful as my gpu, but thats because I have a 2080 super. I wish I had gotten the 3rd gen, but that really has nothing to do with the performance of this processor.

> 3 dayIll start by saying that if your temps are extraordinarily high, make sure you are using the correct software to monitor your cpu as the sensors on this chip give false readings to some programs like Speccy.
