Extremely disappointing
> 3 dayHuge hole in the box which isn’t a problem but the item seems to be used and is broken which is disappointing since it’s supposed to be a new CPU

> 3 dayMainly use my PC for Blender and swapped my 3600 for a 5900x. Saw a ~50% reduction in render times for a variety of scenes after overclocking to 4.6GHz. ~40% improvement just out of the box. Not much impact on viewport performance as mainly uses GPU. Runs about 80-85C at max load (using Noctua air cooler). Highly recommend if youre using creative software and looking for a considerable performance improvement. Definitely helps my workflow as I spend less time fiddling with sampling settings to optimise my render times.

> 3 dayHere is my take if you are only gaming get something cheaper (most of the people looking this i suspect) . This is too expensive for what you get and that application. it also is using quite a lot of power and needs a good cooler which you also need to buy. For that cooler you should adjust the cpu to 600 total costs (at the time of this). Also, you need to go into bios with amd to get all the perf people talk about. otherwise its stuck around 4.2 which by the way voids the warranty. This is an odd policy.

> 3 dayI swear AMD stole this thing from NASA or something. I came from an old gen intel i7, so switching to AMD was a bit of a change for me. Holy smokes was it a good change! This thing absolutely screams. It may idle hot (40-50c), but thats because its beefy af. Every benchmark, render, and game Ive thrown at it, it hasnt even blinked. Made my cooler sweat a bit, but the performance is simply outstanding. I cannot believe what it can do for the money.

Greater than one weekFirst time I have purchased a top of the line CPU when it came to PC building, and it did not disappoint. Wanted to get something to future proof myself for the next few years when it came to gaming and computer usage and I found what I needed. The 12 cores and 24 threads personally will be enough processing power for me for years to come, and is more than enough for my current needs. Able to achieve 4.9Ghz on all cores with ease.
