AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

I got lucky and got one on discount for cyber Monday. This runs great and made a noticeable increase in operating speed over my R 5 3600. My MSI X570 mobo has no issues running it in Gaming Boost mode with XMP enabled.

Bought mine used from Amazon warehouse. Came with bent pins. I had to line them back up with a knife. Then I used a mechanical pencil to bend more stubborn individual pins into place. Took a hour and a lot of patience but works fine so far.

My old setup was an RTX3080 with an 3600XT processor. I was getting bottlenecked in most games by the cpu. Upgrading to the 5900X offered a massive increase in frame rate. In Sea of Thieves I went from 90fps at 4k to 140fps. Similar results in Battlefield V. Really happy!

I swear AMD stole this thing from NASA or something. I came from an old gen intel i7, so switching to AMD was a bit of a change for me. Holy smokes was it a good change! This thing absolutely screams. It may idle hot (40-50c), but thats because its beefy af. Every benchmark, render, and game Ive thrown at it, it hasnt even blinked. Made my cooler sweat a bit, but the performance is simply outstanding. I cannot believe what it can do for the money.
