AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

I had to return because the cpu didn’t work on my pc. The reason the motherboard was the problem not the cpu. I returned the product intact and pf course was unsealed because I did installed, but at the end my cpu was fine and didn’t need.a need a New one. You returned and they only refunded half of the price the cpu cost. What type of BS is that? The product was in perfect conditions! I will never buy with them again. Be aware!

Good upgrade over anything prior including the more recent 3900x. Seems a bit jumpy compared with the 3900x. Lets just say it seems to have a much faster throttle response than the 3900x, but with that you want to have a top cooler - I prefer liquid based to have more clearance around the CPU, but use whatever makes sense for you. Im using a Corsair (110i) 280 AIO push/pull thats a few years old but more than adequate.

Better value than Intel, with none of the compatibility problems of Intels Big core, little core approach.

If your still using an am4 compatible motherboard, id recommend. Upgraded from a 5600x and now everything runs so much better than before, great price for the improvement and actually paid less for this CPU now, and i did the 5600x when it released in 2020. Much better performance from 5900x

This thing can game, it can stream easily, and process videos with ease. Highly recommend amongst content creators.

Initially, I didnt want to buy the 5900X as the 5800X served me well enough, though the extra cores would have been a little useful. However, when the sale came, it was better than even when I got my 5800X and that wasnt my real motivator for grabbing this. The real point was that I needed a 3000 series to upgrade someone that I was paying them back for assisting me with something. I initially was checking for a decent 5000 series to upgrade them from, but I was concerned that the system may not handle well and while they didnt need anything gaming oriented, I still wanted to give some teeth where it needed while using a B350 board. So I settled with buying the 5900X to give the 5800X to my father in exchange for the 3600X that he had which was mine originally. Hence the minor step up.

I honestly though more of my issues with game performance were more on the gpu side but this cpu proved me wrong. My 2600 was my bottleneck. The 5700 xt isnt a bad card paired with this, it may bottleneck this cpu a bit, but I cant get a new gpu at the moment, this was a better upgrade for now. No more elden ring stutters for me, well, most of the time. Rarely have many issues with performance in games now, running most games 1080p trying to get 240 for plus since I have a 240hz, most games I can do it now. Cs:go performance change was also unreal. From around 150-200 to like, 300-400 most of the time.
