AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

12 cores, my dudes. You can like, do core stuff with your cores. Get really corey with it. Just grind those cores along the information superhighway. So many cores for getting stuff done.

It wouldn’t over clock properly. It keeps going back to minimum core usage.

Im glad I got this CPU at MSRP. This CPU is great paired with my 32 GB of 4000Mhz RAM and Nvidia 3080.

CPU worked great for over a year. I upgraded a gen 3 NVME drive to a gen 4 drive and reinstalled Windows 11 then started having all kinds of problems. I have replaced the motherboard, still same problem. I replaced the power supply, still the same problem. Checked different combination of RAM Dimm slots still same problem. Keeps shutting down during Windows installation and rebooting over and over again. Seems others have had similar problems with AMD 5000 series of CPUs. Maybe just a bad batch of CPUs but this is frustrating and expensive. Worked great for over a year, should not have just died like that.

I recently built a new pc and replaced everything except for the ryzen 7 3700x processor. I had problems with the 64Gb of new ram that I installed my pc from booting normally. I had to boot twice before the operating system would load. I tried everything I could think of to fix this including upgrading the bios but nothing worked. I then suspected it could be the processor not being able to handle the ram. So I upgraded the processor to the ryzen 9 5900x and this solved the problem. My pc now boots just fine. I can really see the difference in general pc performance as well. All my programs work much faster and basic tasks like backing up my hard drive now go lightening fast. Im very happy with this upgrade and highly recommend this processor.

Even though this runs so much better than what I have, things are so smoothed out, paying at regular retail (which writing this review is 569) is kind of absurd. I was lucky enough to get a discount to knock down the price to 399 and thats still pretty expensive. I would of paid half the price for the CPU but thats my only complaint. Its hard to find a good and more reasonable CPU right now. Otherwise it works as it should and handles lots of things that I throw at it. My gaming experience has upgraded so much. Next is the GPU that I need to upgrade.

Has been rocking my PC, damn cool. Runs on ak620 cool max 65 deg celcius

Hours of trying everything under the Sun to get working. Bios won’t even pull up with this new cpu installed. Boots immediately with my old cpu.
