AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

It was on sale for 385 and I couldnt pass it up. It is being cooled by a hyper 212 rgb black edition and doesnt go past 75c while gaming for hours. I dont overclock but it does boost single and all cores reliably. A noctua 120mm cooler or 140mm fans would be better but I didnt want to run I to clearance issues. My pc boots and opens programs very fast, blender and unreal engine is also no problem. I am very happy

I use to play games and do unreal engine and blender work. I aint even come close to using this thing to its max yet. I debated between this and the 5950x but If u dont for sure know your going to blast the thing balls to the wall this CPU is perfectly adequate for what im doing.

I replaced my ryzen 5 3600 for the Ryzen 9 5900x! The GPU I am currently using it with is the MSI RTX 3070 TI SUPRIM X with the MSI B550 Gaming Edge Wifi! All you have to do is flash the bios and you are all set! The video tutorial that I watched on how to flash your b550 bios is from (Mikes unboxing reviews and how to) from youtube. Title of video is (How To Use BIOS Flash Back Button MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge WiFi For CPU Upgrades) I did exactly what was said in the video, unplug ALMOST everything from your b550 except the 16 power connector and the CPU power connector to flash bios! After i did that i simply installed my ryzen 9 5900x and had NO ISSUES SO FAR. Hope you find this helpful!

Preso in sostituzione del 5800x, scalda decisamente meno ed è ovviamente più veloce. Abbinato allottimo Thermalright PA 120 e la sua pasta termica, migliore della MX4. In Cinebech R23 non supera i 65/66 gradi con impostazioni della cpu nel BIOS tutto in automatico. In idle lHo visto scendere anche a 29° con temp ambiente di 19/20°! Il tutto montato nel Nox Hummer Vault e MSI Gtx 1070 ti gaming X.

I got it for a great price two years after launch. Still a great CPU while being 3 years old, Nov 2022. Very fast, renders my videos fast, unzips files fast. Get it or the 5950x if you need a few more cores!
