AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core, 24-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor

Not sure if I had a bad one but just crashed my pc every time using it

The question was: How many cores does one need?

Great speed, and can do many tasks at once, no problem. Processor was shipped in a bubble wrap pouch from Amazon but was undamaged.

Last time I bought a chip, Dual cores were the new thing and there was talk of quad cores. I dont do heavy CAD or graphics design, but I can tell you all my programs open instantly and I have not experienced any lag so far. I do have 64gb RAM.

Absolutely best CPU for this price range, low had no problems with it so far and working speed is super fast which makes my work even faster.

È un ottimo processore se non dire che è una Bestia. Montato su una Asus X570-e e come dissipatore un Noctua NH-D15, e devo sottolineare che ci sono un po di problemini. Le temperature in idle si aggirano tra i 35-40°C e invece sotto stress si varia dai 50+°C fino ai 65°C o adirittura 70+°C. Per quanto riguarda le prestazioni si sono ottime, effettuando alcuni test e vedendo come si comporta in ambito Gaming, non ci sono drop di FPS ma i voltaggi richiesti sono intorno ai 1.489V e le frequenze spingono sempre quasi al massimo quindi quasi 5Ghz. Io dal Bios non ho toccato nulla anche perché non sono pratico, però ecco queste cose potrebbero dare fastidio ad altri oltre che a me.

So I purchased new was sold an opened box. It works, it works well and from what I can tell theres less than 100 hours on it. Unfortantley after recieving this product I was hospitilized. Now that I am feeling better I opened the box and its an open processor. It works like I said but being sold a used product has issues. I now have 0 idea when the manufacturers warranty is up. If I knew it was used I would have purchased protection for it. 2/10 for dishonesty and frankly hurting my feelings.

I recently built a new pc and replaced everything except for the ryzen 7 3700x processor. I had problems with the 64Gb of new ram that I installed my pc from booting normally. I had to boot twice before the operating system would load. I tried everything I could think of to fix this including upgrading the bios but nothing worked. I then suspected it could be the processor not being able to handle the ram. So I upgraded the processor to the ryzen 9 5900x and this solved the problem. My pc now boots just fine. I can really see the difference in general pc performance as well. All my programs work much faster and basic tasks like backing up my hard drive now go lightening fast. Im very happy with this upgrade and highly recommend this processor.

I would like to start off with saying that my original order of the Ryzen 9 5900X arrived with an empty box. What a heartbreaking moment.
