These are simple and seem well made. The spacing can still be a problem with transformers and various plug orientations. Nobody has ever solved that problem. My only criticism is that the power switch flips off too easily with barest touch or brush of a hand. I have several times inadvertently turned off the power while repositioning this strip

My prior experience with APC surge protectors prompted me to purchase this item for my iPad and iPhone charging station. So far, no issues with APC.

I have a kitchen area that hosts all my appliances; a mixer, a high end coffee grinder, microwave, toaster oven. Total its about 1k of appliances, and the power strip it was plugged in was so old you couldnt tell if its yellow because the plastic was originally ivory colored or because it was 20 years old. I work in IT and I dont skimp on power surge protectors; 15% of surges sneak right past your house level surge protection, and can kick in not only due to lightning strikes but minor changes in current, like nearby electricity use, appliances that kick on and off, etc. All you know is 3 years later your toaster stops working. Most of these cheap surge protectors on the market are glorified extension cables. I trust the brand, they havent let me down so far.

Gets a little bright, but its a solid surge protector with plenty of outlets (8) for TV, consoles, sound system, etc. Plenty of protection with 2000+ joules.

After endless research and not finding any option that had reassuring reviews I finally asked our family IT expert to help me pick a decent option. We are setting up a home office and needed a surge protector for the printer etc as we have seasonal power outages here. This one feels pretty sturdy as surge protectors go. It has a nice look to it. I like the option of having USB ports in it, so a charging cord can be plugged in and ready to go for a device. Weve only had it a month so I cant speak to longevity but so far so good!

I have to have surge protectors with the on/off buttons because my apartment is so old. I have to have one at nearly every outlet. They work great.

Its hard to get excited about a power strip- but when they designed this one, the engineers at APC hit it out of the park! I love how the wall warts (those odd klunky AC/DC power adapters that so many devices come with nowadays) have their own spot on this unit, and do not block out the remaining plugs that regular AC power cords (3 prong grounded) require. This is VERY important! Most of the competition has you forfeiting one or more plug locations when a wall wart blocks you out! There are on/off status lights (green means OK) and and on/off SWITCH. For the modest and reasonable cost, you get great surge protection. I have used APC products for many years, particularly fond of their backup UPS power supplies. I plan to buy more of this model for my apartment. The quality is there, a nice heavy line cord to connect to the AC power, and better-than-average build quality. Slick!
