> 3 dayThese blades have worked well so far! Maybe a few nicks but I was still new to shaving with a safety razor. I have not tried feather blades yet, or any other blades for that matter, so I cant compare them to other blades. But the fact that I dont have to buy any blades for a long long time is great.

> 3 dayThese are very mild blades. I use them in the winter when my skin dries out as they are extremely tame. These are good for those months and for newbies getting used to shaving with a DE razor. They begin dulling on the second use and for those who hack away at their faces will find that it helps with nicking. As a lifelong feather blade fan I doubt I could switch to these full time, but they do help in the cold months when the weather is drying out skin.

> 3 dayThese were pretty good razors. Some of them had some adhesive on them from the manufacturing process, nothing that couldnt come off with a few scrapes of my nail. I changed my blades about once a week when I used a DE. They worked well and as expected. I would buy these again. I liked them more than the Shark blades and another competitor razor blades.

> 3 dayI got into wet shaving back in 2011 when my girlfriend got me a Parker SR-1 for my birthday (which I still use today), and Ive subsequently tried all sorts of razor blades. I started with Shark, and they were okay, but they didnt provide the smoothest shave. They were okay for a light shave, but close shaves with them were uncomfortable at best and agonizing at worst. So I moved on and tried some others. Tried Merkur, Derby, Shark Super Chrome, etc., etc. with less than stellar results. I also tried Feather and liked the shave, but the expense sent me searching for something else. Finally, I found my way to Astra Superior Premium Platinum. I wasnt expecting much given the price, but they wound up being exactly what I had been searching for all along. They give me an extremely smooth, close shave with little to no irritation. I have a very coarse beard that grows very quickly, and these Astra blades make quick work of it. As a plus, they are extremely affordable. I greatly appreciate this, as I have to shave daily and I rarely get more than two shaves out of a single blade due to the coarseness of my facial hair. In summary, these blades wound up being perfect for me. They might not suit you, but I would highly recommend giving them a try. Theyre high quality, consistently sharp and very affordable. Excellent.

> 3 dayI have been using various Schick and Gillette cartridge products for over 20 years and decided I want to try something different now. I bought a full kit for DE shaving -

> 3 dayUsing these razors in a bread lame. Holds good edge, and the numbered corners are helpful as well.

> 3 dayVery sharp blades; however, they are VERY prone to rust in a humid room (bathroom, especially). Altogether not a bad buy, but you will go through these fairly quickly due to the easy rusting issue

> 3 dayMy experience so far (3 shaves)has been very good. Theyre not as sharp as my current favorites, the Feathers, but they dont have as much bite as the Feathers do, either. The Astra Platinum blades seem to slide over the skin a little easier, while still being very sharp. Overall, Id say theyre a worthy competitor to the Feather blades. Especially so since theyre so much less expensive. My only concern is how well they hold up. Three shaves on my first and still going strong. update: up to seven shaves, and only a couple nicks on the seventh shave. The Astras held up nearly as well as Feathers, on my beard at least.

> 3 dayFor forty years my best shave only lasted till 2pm. In the Army I often was accused of not having shaved, usually around 3pm. Then my buddy told me the truth behind the attack on butterfly/safety razors, the patent ran out. He encouraged me to try it, and I did. Now I have no shadow when I go to bed! I have tried other blades, there are 2 other brands that are closer, but they only last about 2 shaves. The Astra blades give a very close shave, and last for 5 shaves on average. If you have never tried a butterfly razor, then do. Astra will give you a great shave for about 5 days/blade.

> 3 dayThese are a great value. Granted, I only use a blade one time, but gosh, these work so perfect that for the price you cant do any better Im sure!
