> 3 dayI had read several reviews on this brand of blade and decided to give them a shot. For me, these are great for a quick daily shave. They are not too sharp, but there are also extremely mild on the skin. I have to do a few extra passes in comparison to a Feather blade, but if you dont want to spend what the Feathers cost, this is a great alternative. This will stay in my top three rotation for awhile.

> 3 dayI have been using this brand of razor blades since I was a teen (currently late 20s) and I swear by them. I have switched my best friend and husband over to the same brand as well, as they’re truly the best blade and an unbeatable price. They take ages to go dull, so a pack lasts a year or even two. My skin is super sensitive and I’m prone to razor bumps, but these are gentle on my skin— though you’ll definitely get some cuts if you’re not careful. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayHaving bought them some time ago I mus say thats a lot of blades, I may have overestimated how often I shave! I have no idea when Ill get through all of them. Other than that, theyre just what I wanted: some of the sharpest razor blades Ive tried and very easy on my wallet! They usually last me for 3 uses but YMMV. Theyre still very sharp afterwards and can still be used in other non-face-related tools.

> 3 dayFirst, you cant beat the price. $.09 per blade, and for me, with 2 shaves each blade, that is only 4.5 cents per shave for blades. Feather is more than triple the price even when buying 100 blades. Second, these are very good blades, at least in my Merkur. I have used these for some time, and ordered another box of 100 so I am set for awhile. Feathers may be sharper, but the Astra Plats are very sharp and 1/3 of the price. I move rather quickly through a shave and with minimal nicks, so these are probably better for me than something like feather. I typically do 2 passes and am very happy with the results. Some people have mentioned glue on the blades. That seems to be wax for the wrapper instead. I cant see how that would affect anything. Highly recommend. 5 stars.

> 3 dayThese blades have worked well so far! Maybe a few nicks but I was still new to shaving with a safety razor. I have not tried feather blades yet, or any other blades for that matter, so I cant compare them to other blades. But the fact that I dont have to buy any blades for a long long time is great.

> 3 dayNiether smooth nor comfortable. They are sharp and I can count on getting a couple of nicks most shaves. Tried them in an Edwin Jagger DE-89 and various vintage Gillettes. I can usually squeeze 5-6 shaves out of each blade. The first 2 shaves per blade are the worst. Very sorry I bought a 100 pk. Wish I would have tried a 5 pk. first.

> 3 dayI used to love these blades. I learned to shave with a DE safety razor with them. Used a few hundred of these blades over the years. I didnt believe all the recent reviews - I thought there was some bias and all the manufacturer changed was the labeling (engraving and removed the numbers). WRONG. Just taking them out of the package, they feel so much more flimsy and the blade edge looks poor. Theres an obvious difference to me in the type of blade, beyond the markings. Ill admit - I havent shaved with the new ones yet. The obvious changes in the sharpness and material, combined with these reviews - make it tough for me to justify ripping my face up for a test shave. Ive yet to have a day where I can afford to have a bloody mess in the morning before work. But one things is clear - the product changed more than just the markings on it. Ive since explored blades similar to the old Astra SP, and for those looking for alternatives - Gillette Silver Blue seems pretty similar (maybe a bit more forgiving). What a shame though - I wonder if this was an accidental or intentional nerf. These blades always seemed to be too good for the price - I wonder if Gillette (Astra owners) realized that and adjusted the quality accordingly.

> 3 dayThe first time I tried wet shaving (safety razors), I gave up before I had a chance to use these blades. If you are new to wet shaving or have sensitive skin, these blades are a great starting point. Even if youre just looking for a close but less aggressive shave, these are worth a try. They shave as close as any multi bladed razor Ive ever wasted my money on. And paired with the lightweight Feather Popular, these blades are comfortable. They arrived on time without any issue. I will buy these again.
