> 3 dayThis is my go-to blade. It is a more forgiving than Feather and sometimes you just want to shave without worry. So, I buy 100s of each and choose which to use depending on the razor selected, the soap used and how much I feel like concentrating. I can get away with a lot more sloppiness when using the Astras. When Im focused and looking for the Zen-like shaving experience Ill use the Feather. YMMV.

> 3 dayIve been shaving with an old Gillette Superspeed razor and drug store blades for many years. After shaving with the disposable multi-blade Mach 3 or whatever, discovering the pleasure of a real shave with a warm boar brush, soap and blade is something Ive been grateful for. Its something I really enjoy. After using Williams soap for a decade, Van Der Hagen has been a highlight of my experience. Astra blades have been another. After changing to my last blade, I went to my local drug store and discovered that a package of 10 was over $5.00. I bought one package and ordered the Astra 100 pack. Shaving with one today was a great experience; smooth, close and nick free. The blades are a great value and Ill order again in 2014.

> 3 daySo I started with a Merkur 34c and used the blades everyone else said were the best (Feather). Wasnt ever real happy with the shave so I upgraded razors twice with a Slant (39c) and the Futur but after several years, I decided that my sensitive face wasnt handling agressive razors or blades very well. Just for the heck of it, I went back to the 34c and tried a few different blades I had never tried and did I find the perfect combo. Wow, the perfect combo with the Astra blade in my 34c. I flip the blade after my first shave cycle and replace it completly after the second shave cycle. I do three passes per shave cycle so it really adds up to six total when I dieguard the blade. And now I can shave every day and my face is baby smooth with zero cuts or bleeders. And its something I want to do. Sometimes, you have to try different blades on your own and dont take everyones advice out of the gate. I added these blades to my monthly deliverables because they are very inexpensive. All of them have been exactly the same since I started buying them on Amazon. Trust those who say to try different blades, I sure wish I had when this started.

> 3 dayEverytime I try a different blade I come back to these. I use them once and throw them away. Im sure they would work fine after a few uses, but I prefer a perfectly sharp blade. Ive never had a single defective blade after 8 years of using them 5 days a week.

> 3 dayFor their price, they are my favorite go-to blade. Can get 10 to 15 shaves from one. Bought a whole bunch when Russia went to war (arent most blades make in Russia?) thinking supply would dry up.

> 3 dayThese blades are so sharp they cut through hair like butter and leave the skin smooth and soft. I recommend these to anyone using a safety razor or straight razor!

> 3 dayI really like these. The only other blade that is comparable for me is Merkur (I use a Merkur razor), and those cost more than 5 times as much. I have trouble describing why theyre better. I couldnt really say if my shave is smooth, soft, sharp, aggressive, tugging, gentle, or whatever other people say in reviews. All I know is I get a close shave without irritation.

> 3 dayGood value for money. Wish the blades held their edge a little longer. I work from home with occasional travel to clients so I dont shave for a few days sometimes. So by the time I do shave my face has grown pretty thick, I might be a little harsh but tends to have blunted both edges by the time I am done. If you shave more often, or have finer stubble then these are ideal.

11-06-2025My Jagger razor came with a 5 pack of Derby blades that I thought were pretty good. That is, until I received the Astras. They are sharp, non irritating, and last about 5 shaves per blade on my beard. And the cost is so low as to be silly. I can not really see ever using another blade. Buy them and enjoy!

> 3 dayExcellent blades. It doesnt take much pressure with these to get a baby smooth shave. Why pay $$$ for only 4 disposable blades when you can get 100 blades that cut better and last longer for less? After using these with the Viking Blade The Cheiftan model, I will never go back to the more commercial name brand razors.
