> 24 hourNot a lot to say. Its a dvd burner that works as its supposed to. Some people have complained that its noisy but at least mine is very quiet. They all make noise when they spin up for reading and writing. No noisier than any other burner I have used.

> 24 hourIve bought a lot of Asus peripherals over the years, and this one lives up my high standards for their devices. It has yet to fail on either reading or writing DVDs, and the direct SATA interface is a helluva lot faster than the USB2 external drive Id been using before. Having one less external box, cable, and DC power supply to muck with is a win. These will likely make it a money saver well into the future, as I dont have to depend on cables, plugs, and DC PSUs - just the unit itself. Recommended. (Thickness? They want it rated on thickness? OK . . . it filled the 5.25 bay correctly, no gaps or overly tight fits.)

> 24 hourIt was a reasonable priced drive to replace the one that died in my computer.

> 24 hourNo screws, no cables, came bouncing around in the box wrapped in bubble wrap. For those who dont want such bare-bones, I recommend Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE-KIT. Otherwise fine, just a little weird.

> 24 hourI built a new computer and had to replace my old CDROM because the new motherboards no longer have the old ATA interface. I tried to used a ATA to SATA adapter but that did not work. The drive works great.

> 24 hourThis drive was easy to install, and very quiet during operation. I used it to create a Win10 System repair disc, and it did the job. It did not come with any cables, but I have accumulated so many that I had some on hand. Only needed the data cable (smaller connector). the other cable was already provided by the power supply. I recommend!

> 24 hourDoes what a DVD burner should and is plenty fast. Bought to replace the LG my Cyberpower Rig came with, which died right after my warranty was up. 4 stars because Ive bought Asus burners at this price point before (built a few rigs for friends and family members over the last 5-6 years) and this one feels like its a bit lower build quality. This seems to be a thing too. Ive stopped buying certain brands because, as physical media popularity is dropping, the quality on the products to support whats left seems to also be dropping.
