07-06-2025This laptop is a speed demon. I get 12550 on 3dmark and that’s stock out of the box. You can get as high as 14k if you overclock. The Intel cpu scores way higher than amd as well. They did awesome this generation. The only thing is I didn’t get a soft case like I see on many reviews. I am in the USA and got it from Amazon on Black Friday for 1600 usd. I used the saved money to buy a 64gb memory upgrade and bought a 2tb wd black 850x that scored 6900 read and 6700 write. That’s a great score since you never get as high as most advertise. The advertised speed is 7300. I have been using this laptop for 3 months and it hasn’t crashed yet.

> 3 dayI liked it except for the fact that it was not 1440 resolution. I play games at 4k with Dolby Vision at times. Dropping down to 1080 with Dolby Vision I just couldnt do. Especially since I thought I was getting 1440 which is basically 2k. I could have dealt with that. Everything else was great. Unfortunately, I had to return it for that reason.

> 3 dayFor a laptop, this is extremely impressive. The i9 12900H can outperform my previous desktop pretty easily and the RTX 3070 TI can handle most 2k gaming without struggling. This laptop comes with performance tuning and RGB adjustment right out of the box. The keyboard is nice, I personally dont like the number pad and had to disable that function because its just to easily activated, having the number pad to a keybind instead would have been perfect though. Additionally, only16gbs of RAM and 1tb of storage in a $2000+ laptop is kind of underwhelming and 32gbs RAM and a 2tb drive for the OS would have been more ideal, but at least they are fully upgradable with and have an extra m.2 slot available assuming you are willing to open up this thing.

> 3 daySummary: My current desktop is an older Dell XPS 8920 from 2017, which has a i7-7700 processor. Its still decently fast running Windows 10 Home. I havent had a dedicated gaming machine before, so I am very sure that this i9-12900 with the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti card is going to be insanely fast! The last laptop we bought was a 13-inch MacBook back in August 2020.

> 3 dayTry to call asus customer service before buying asus products. I waited like 3 hours and still couldnt connect. Their laptops are very bad. Mine broke in 13 months. They asked $2k for a motherboard replacement.

> 3 dayThis laptop is incredible with DDR5, i9, and a 3070ti and played every game I could throw at it. BUT the power adapter died after I had the laptop for only 6 days, so Amazon refunded me $200 to purchase a new power adapter instead of returning the entire computer. Tons of hassle for a part failure on a brand new computer. I will update this review as this unfortunate situation progresses.

> 3 dayIm not sure if windows 11 is the problem from my bad experience or is it due to Asus hard/software. For example, when AC power is unplugged and wakes up from sleep mode, the screen remains black and only the mouse arrow is displayed, also due to this sometimes the lights of the keyboard dont turn on.
