The specs are strong, as anyone shopping for such a machine will recognize. The 4070 combined with the 165Hz screen give buttery, smooth performance. Cooling is decent.

This was the only laptop that met with my requirements, minus 1. Touch screen would have been nice. Espcially when I accidently disabled the touch pad and didnt have an external mouse to use to fix it. Other than that it is AWSOME!!!

This laptop is a beast. On Turbo it is loud, but on performance its quiet even if being pushed relatively hard. and if Asus Armoury Crate to be believed, the heat is fine. It is also CERTAINLY not hot. Compared to some real furnaces that would burn my hand Ive had in the past, this is nothing.

The only thing I do not like about it, that sometimes it takes 3 or more times to get it to sleep

Ive recently been turned on to ASUS more, and have not really been disappointed. I converted all my wifi networks from eero to ASUS Rog/Zen devices, and have not looked back. As a result, when I had the opportunity to try out the Strix G16, I had to.

owned one of the prior year laptop strix scar, basically the same look and hardware base minus the updated graphics card, processor, and screen. The only flaw i noticed with these laptops is that the charging cable starts to become unfunctional after a year or so and replacements barely last a year due to minor movements with the laptop, sometimes im away at my desk and like to use it that way while its charing which contributes to the wear and tear of the cable which i barelly tug on it or at all.

After 5 months the laptop keyboard lights up, but no screen or boot attempt. Just hear fans cycling and the keyboard is just red. Id expect a laptop like this to last a few years before having problems. Never moved from my desk since opening it. Vastly disappointed.

Ive thrown alot at it in terms of games: Cyberpunk, Red Dead Redemption 2, Halo Infinite, Metro Exodus, The witcher 3, Monster hunter world... and alot more, everything on ultra settings with ray tracing in the games that alow it, and its smooth as butter ALL of the time. Great heat control, my unit never goes above 75 degrees in high loads (I do have a thermaltake massive cooling pad, and use my laptop in a very cold environment). Havent seen one game so far that this computer cant run smoothly. 10/10 Machine.
